Faith was devastated by the cold, dark look Joshua gave her in response to her question. For a moment, she thought things between them could improve, but she was met again with the man who inspired fear.
Faith didn't want to be left wondering. She was curious to know who that woman was and why he was hiding her.
Joshua stormed out of the room, furious. She couldn't know anything for now; his grandfather would kill her if he found out. The child he had with that woman would be the heir to everything, and he couldn't have any contact with the outside world.
