This question is for the writers. I've always appreciated it when readers/writers point out my spelling errors, because it's easy to miss one and that means I can change edit it for my new readers. English is not my native language and I'm happy to learn.
I've tried to see it as helpful and not critique and have written comments myself when I read stories with small errors.
I'm Dutch and we as dutchies often are seen as rude. We're too blunt and honest. And some recent comments made me question if I should have made these comments.
Point is, do you as a writer consider it rude or helpful when someone points out your errors in a comment?
