Searching for my Fated Mate

The Prince

Will POV

David and I came to the fae island to get away from home for a bit. I haven’t found my fated mate yet, my other half, my soulmate. This has caused every single she-wolf in our pack and all surrounding packs to flock to our home to have a moment with me in hopes that they will be my fated or at minimum win my heart. But my heart already belongs to one, my fated mate. I may not know who that is yet but I already love her.

I am the shifter prince I will not settle for anyone other than my fated mate.

David my best friend and my beta when I take over the pack for my father walks into our suite after being down at the pool for a bit this early afternoon. I unfortunately had to stay in and work on some pack stuff for my father.

“Hope you don’t have plans tonight,” David says as plops down on the couch.

“ Why?” I ask almost demandingly

“Because we are going to the Cedar Den tonight!”

“Again I repeat why?” I demand for the second time

“I ran into Jeremy down at the poolside bar and he is crushing on a witch, he needs some help. The witch is on vacation with her best friend who is a wolf shifter and she won’t go anywhere without her. So tonight we are Jeremy’s wingman and babysitter to the witch friend.” David confesses

“Dude, I don’t want to go be some babysitter so Jeremy can get laid!” I whined

“I feel we should go, I don’t know why but something is calling to me that we need to be there.” My wolf Hank says to me

“Could it be our mate” I reply back.

“I don’t know it’s just a calling I have,” Hank says

I look at David and tell him: “Fine, Hank says we should go but you are doing all the babysitting”

It would be a few hours before we would be going out so I decided to do some more work. A couple of hours later David appeared again,

“I’m hungry, want to eat out or should we order in? He asks

“I still have a little bit more to do here why don’t we order in,” I reply realizing I’m a bit hungry myself.

“Sounds like a plan to me he chimes, what do you want? I’ll order room service I’m too lazy to cook”

I laugh, “I’ll take a double cheeseburger loaded with some fries and onion rings”

His belly makes a noise as I finish with my order, “That sounds amazing think I will get the same”

Twenty minutes later there's a knock on the suite door, David walks over to it looks through the peephole, looks back, and replies. “Food is here!”

I close up my computer and set it aside as David and a waiter from the kitchen following behind him come into the dining area. David plops down across from me as the waiter carefully places hot plates full of fries, onion rings, and a couple of burgers on the table. We both thank him and I hand him a $50 tip.

“Seriously this food is amazing! I don’t care if the chef is not a shifter we need to steal them and have them come cook for us at the royal pack house.” David says after eating the last bit of his fries.

He is not wrong the food here is simply incredible and I would love to have them come cook for us. I made a mental note to find out who the cooks were and if I could convince them to leave and cook for us at home.

“What time are we supposed to be meeting Jeremy and these girls at the club?” I asked David as he was getting up and gathering our plates from the table.

“8 0’clock, why? “

“I have a business call with my father and yours at 5 home time. I will have to meet you at the club when I’m done.”

Home is on the west coast of the states and this particular fae island is on the west coast so there is a bit of a time difference.

“Ugh we are supposed to be on a vacation and you always have to bring work with you. You’re not even alpha or the king yet” David says rolling his eyes.

“I just laughed and said my job started the minute I was able to walk and talk at the same time”

Which isn’t a lie, my parents started getting me ready to be the alpha of our pack and the King of all shifters as soon as I was able to understand what it all meant. Yes, there are days when I wish I could just be an ordinary shifter and not have so many responsibilities but I love my pack and I love our shifter kingdom throughout the entire world.

After David had the table cleared I pulled out my computer again and continued on my work. David hopped on the couch and turned on the TV, putting on a movie by the sounds of it.
