Chapter 5

Julian and his pack were all having a meeting of how the force of a new alpha is becoming stronger. “What's really going on, we are all feeling the energy of the new alpha, Julian you've not brought him to us are you hiding him or what's happening” one of them said as he stood up to confront Julian, but he still remained calm because he was also confused about what's going on “I don't have an offspring, I don't party like before, I'm also lost” he replied calmly, “we need to get to the bottom of this” he added “I really need to talk to Desmond, he can assist me in this” he thought, as everyone was talking and arguing, he just stood up and wanted to take his leave, then someone else stood up to him “where do you think you're going to, you have an offspring, and you don't want to bring him or rather introduce him to us, don't forget that we can only feel his energy if he's 10 years so he's definitely of the age to understand, your father introduced you to us at age 5, so what's stopping you” he said but as Julian ignored, the other packs transforms and confronts him, Julian also transforms and saw that the sun was coming up so he couldn't do anything than to return back to normal and pointed to the sky "Hey everyone look” he said as he disappears into thin air, Julain was bothered because he doesn't have an offspring while Luna and Emily on the other hand were getting ready to go the Library to check about what was going on “Luna are you ready” Emily asked as she was putting on her shoes, “give me a few minutes, I need to prepare something for Ava” she responds. “Mum, Aunt pls don't take time, I'll be bored at home” Ava said as she walks towards Emily and gave her a hug, “ok, I'm ready” Luna said as she went to take her bag and called out to Ava, hugged her and gave her a peck.

“Don't forget the rules, no answering anyone if someone knocks and tap on the alarm if you need help, we'll be here as fast as possible”, Luna warned Ava, and she nodded yes.

So they set off for the library and on their way they bumped into Julain, but it seemed like he wasn't himself. “What's up with Julain, why is he walking on foot? Is everything OK” Emily asked Luna. “How will I know, I'm not his personal assistance, I'm his secretary there's a huge difference. Let's just head to where we're going and let him go, I'm just concerned about my daughter here”, Luna replied as she hastened her pace, not caring about Julian at all. So they both went to the library and they both asked the librarian for directions which she gave., and they started doing their research, but everything still ends up the same way, “werewolves have been extinct for over 50 years now” Luna sighed, but Emily didn't give up “we just have to be calm, there's something we're missing, if you can look at this well this is a picture of your house, so there's something we're actually missing” Emily replied “but I don't think we'll find anything here” she added “wait, I've seen this in my dreams before, and this and this” Luna replied as she flipped through the pages of a book, and she started getting confident that there's definitely some dark mystery behind all these, and she must get ti the root of all these.

Emily and Luna left the library. Now their doubts were true, werewolves still exist. They just fool humans, “are you telling me Julian is a ……..” Emily whispers to Luna as she raises her left brow. Luna paused for a while finding sense in what she said “I can't confront him, he doesn't know, but we have to investigate this” she said, while Emily was stroking her chin, “that'll be tomorrow or later cause right now I'm very tired” Emily said and yawned while Luna was lost in her thoughts as Emily turns back she was Luna thinking again “Not again” she said smacking her forehead and walks towards her and snapped her fingers by her ear “hey, come back to earth” she said and laughed, “I'm sorry, I wasn't myself again, where will we start from, there are lots of things my granny told me about them, and now we want to investigate them, I'm just worried” she said as she walked slowly, but Emily tapped her shoulder “I'm here for you any step of the way, we'll just have to focus on our goal and as they approached the bus stop they saw Julain and Seraphine walking in one of the oldest stores on the street“Emily, are you seeing what I'm seeing” Luna tapped “what's that?” Emily asked as she turned “look at the other side of the road, is that not your boss?” she asked “they're coming out of that old and abandoned store, rumors have it that there's a mystery about that place, some say there are people who eat souls there, some said there's an old woman whom people bow down to” she added “you're just scared, don't listen to rumors of people” Emily said “yeah, I know we need to get to the bottom of all that's happening, but you decided not to meet with you know who” Julian and Seraphine walked out and both got to his car, and they drove off, Luna just kept staring and waited for the bus patiently, and it finally came, they hoped in and got home very late.
