As she got out of the car, he asked, “If I call you later to see how you’?re doing, will you answer the phone?” She smiled. “I will, and thank you for going to Sausalito with me. I appreciate it.” “Maybe someday we’ll go under better circumstances.” She replied with a non-committal, “You never know.” “That’s a firm maybe if I ever heard one.
