The boy aged 7 was amongst the youngest competitors in the spelling bee championship. He was an early learner. While most kids started reading at a later age, Charles Lance started reading his first picture book by himself when he was 3.
“Our son is such a nerd,” said Cameron.
“I wonder who he got it from?” teased Lana.
“Of course from me. I’m a genius, after all.”
“Yeah. He got the good looks from me.”
“Pfft.”
Lana slapped Cameron’s arm playfully. They had been married for ten years and were blessed with a son. They decided to name him after Lana’s late father.
“And the spelling bee champion is Charles Lance.”
“Woo! That’s my god-son, everyone!” exclaimed Rick.
