Tragedy Strikes & Sappho Comes Home
Sappho was broken: not just physically but, also, emotionally and her psyche was wrecked.
They’d taken her to one of the finest hospitals in the City but, even after an emergency admission and acute attention for blood loss, shock and trauma the staff had come out, shaking their heads, expressing their deepest regret: Sappho had lost her babies and she was pregnant no longer.
The flight to the Island was a sombre affair and Sappho spent it, cosseted and secluded, in the Executive Cabin.
Whilst it was natural for the Staff to want to ask questions and let their imaginations run wild, nothing about the exact nature of Sappho’s condition was announced until they were at home.
