Who Are You

Sebastian brought her closer ready to tear through her skin but before his fangs could sink into her, he felt her go limp in his arms. He stopped and stared at her and his eyes widened. A girl? What the hell is a human girl doing with him and where the hell is this place? He wondered. Tossing the girl off him on the bed, he abruptly stood up, searching around for any possible danger. His eyes moved back to the girl on the bed. He didn't even touch her and she fainted. Perhaps she was shocked. He felt his fang pierce his lips indicating how hungry he was. Having been on the run for days now, he was hungry as ever. The King has been on the run for the past few days as Devin had sent the rogue wolves. They better pray he doesn't walk out of here alive because if he does, he was going to pay them back a million folds. Taking his mind out of those thoughts and as if the moon goddess knew of this hunger, his eyes spotted some white doves at the corner of the cave and he made his way there. Luckily, the small cage the white doves were, was not locked. Sebastian glanced at the white dove for a second in disgust. If it wasn't because of this situation, would he resign himself to eating a mere dove? He would never take low-quality food if he was in the castle. Well, he has no choice here. After having his fill of the doves, he walked outside the cave and his eyes widened. This was the middle of the forest if he wasn’t mistaken. He didn’t realize that he already came this far. Going back into the cave, he stared at the girl. Surely this was the middle of the big forest. What then was a girl doing with him here? His eyes caught sight of his half-golden staff on the ground, he picked it up and placed it behind the girl on the wooden bed. Why isn’t she waking up yet? Was she that shocked? Suddenly, Raziel stirred in her sleep and muttered incoherent words before she slowly opened her eyes only to be met with red golden eyes and she immediately sat up on the bed as the memories filled her mind. “You’re awake,” he muttered slowly. “Yo…you.” She glared at him. Her big eyes stared angrily at him. She remembered that this man had pricked her neck with his fangs and injured her. "Is t…this how you behave after I sa..save you?" She complained. Her words sounded pathetic to his ears as he heard her stuttering. "Who are you," Sebastian asked. "I sh…should be asking you that. I saved y..you but all you could do wa..was bit...You're a wolf." She stated dreadfully in realization, touching her neck which he bit into, only to find it sore. Back when she was young, her mother would always point to the creatures that exist, telling her their differences between them. Now knowing how dangerous the man was, she became scared and stood up from the bed. "I..I’ll leave now, I have t..to go home," she said, walking to the exit. "Where do you think you're going? He asked. Fear gripped her as she turned back to face him. What if he never lets her leave? "Just let me leave, I swear I won't come back here again, you can have the cave." "What are you doing in the middle of the forest?" "I-I, my mother w..would be looking for me by now. Pl…Please let me leave," she pleaded. Any more of this and she was going to cry. "Answer me," he said coldly, making her unable to take a step. “We-we live here. M...me and my family," "Why?" "N..nothing, we just li..live here," she lied and he chuckled. "Lies but I'll let it slide," Sebastian said, walking to stand in front of her and hovering over her. He stared at the blonde-haired girl standing in front of him with her head down and his eyes widened. His nose sniffed her as her unique smell filled his nose making his wolf stir up inside him. He has never encountered someone with such a strong smell. She has two different smells. A smell that draws him to her and another that made him recognize her as a witch. His mouth fell open in disbelief. A witch shouldn’t be begging him to let her leave. Witches were known for their no-nonsense attitude and wouldn’t take any form of intimidation. She should be casting a spell just to keep him away right? Not like it would work for him though. "Tell me, where are they?" He asked. "Who?" "Your family." "At..at the cabin on the other side of the forest. Wh…What about you, wh..what are you doing here? Did you lo..lose your w..way?" She asked, raising her head to stare at him but averted her gaze in the next moment. "S…Sorry, I shouldn't have asked, I'll t..take my leave now," "Wait," Ordered the king. "W-what?” "Lead the way to your cabin. I can’t stay in a shabby place like this," he ordered and she suddenly crumpled her face, looking like she was going to cry. "M-my mother won't let you li..live with us even f..for an hour," Raziel said, blinking back her tears. What has she done to deserve this? Perhaps because she was a rebellious child. "Why won't she?" "She do..doesn't like we..werewolves and their wa…way of living because they sent us here. T…They're dangerous too." "Hmm, I see." "Don't y..you have a home or w..were you sent here too? If you don't have a home, I can let you live in this cave o..only if you don't eat my pets again," she offered, peering at him. "So you want me to live here and take care of your pets? How dare you ask your superior to stay in this shabby place. You should be falling at my feet or leading the way to your cabin," he said coldly, with a hint of annoyance in his voice making her confused. Before Raziel could say anything, a loud noise reverberated through the surrounding, causing both their eyes to grow in size.
