Pearl was too nervous to explain herself. She will let her father down if she confessed. She never visited him for the past seven years, but she even lied to him after returning back.
"Well, it's normal for couples to quarrel, but you should fix your temper too." Before she could think of something to say, Anthony replied.
Pearl was taken aback, and she looked up in astonishment.
Anthony was indifferent as he persuaded Pearl. He sounded like he had a lot of experience as he continued, "A man in his age will tend to focus on his career. If it's not big issue, then don't waste your time on trivial things."
"Dad, I..."
"What's the matter?"
"It's nothing. I'll keep that in mind." Pearl forced a smile and corrected herself.
