The atmosphere between Richard and Pearl turned a bit awkward, so Pearl tried changing the topic once again. "Are Bonny and Brandon still here in campus? I'm sorry, and I'll pick them up now."
"Ted took them for lunch. Do you know what time is it now? How could you leave the kids starving. Are you still their mom?" Richard answered coldly.
Hearing this, Pearl didn't refute.
Richard had been acting very indifferent towards her after she returned home from abroad. Whenever he was around, she always felt uneasy and guilty for no reason.
"Okay, let's go."
"Huh? Where?"
"I thought you were going to pick up your kids?" Richard's gaze darkened as he said, "Or you'd like to have a chat with Alexander again? If so, how about I'll send the kids home later?"
His words made Pearl tongue-tied.
