It's been two weeks since that incident on the porch with Jim. Everywhere I go, he keeps following me.

My mom just think we're getting to know each other and bonding more.

One day, my mom left for work leaving us two. Alone. So he comes upstairs and sitting on my bed relaxing.

"Excuse me, what are you doing ?"

"Nothing. Just chilling."

"I'm asking you nicely to leave." I said walking to the door.

"No, we need to talk." he said standing up.

Jim is about 6 inches taller than me. I just stood there tapping my foot waiting for him to say something.

"Remeber the other night ?" he said smirking.

"Yes. I do." I said sarcastically.

"I'm sorry about that. I really am."

"I forgive you."

"Thank you. But this can't go out to your mom." he said holding out his pinky.

"Ok. Pinky promise." I said interwining my pinky with his.

Another day of school. I fell out my bed dragging myself to the bathroom and did my morning routine.

I loitoned from head to toe. I put on my black 'DOPE' crop top and my acid wash jeans with my black high-top converses and headed out the door.

I decided to go to McDonalds for breakfast. I arrived at school when the late bell rang. You can tell the difference between the regular bell and later bell.

The regular bell rings for 10 seconds while everyone in the hall scatters all around. The late bell rings for 20 seconds letting you know you are late and you belong in class. Literally, no one be in the hall.

I walked to the office to get my late pass. Of course, the annoying lady Ms. Cole is there always bothering me.

I made it to class and sat in the back. My favorite teacher, Mrs. Richards was teaching. She really didn't care. Only if you understood the work.

After school, I was stopped by my clique Raven, Ramona, and Brittany. I wonder where Avery is.

"Hey wassup." I said avoiding eye contact.

"Nothing." Britanny replied.

"Yo Raven, where Avery ?" Ramona said as she turned to Raven.

"I wasn't supposed to tell yall." she said whistling looking up.

"Tell us." we all said in unision.

"Ok ok. He is a drug dealer. He only told me because how you guys would react. His boss called him in today."

"REALLY. AND YOU ARE NOW TELLING US ? Why Raven ?" I said trying not to have a bipolar episode.

"Sorry. All I can say is sorry."

I ran to my car and cried. I have feelings for Avery. 'What is something happened to him ? I can't risk losing him.' That was all I thought.

When I got home, I must've forgotten to wipe my face because my mom approached me when she saw me.

"Sweetie what's wrong ?" my mom said.

"Nothing." I replied.

"You've been crying."

"It's Avery."

"What he do ? Cause I sure will bust a cap in his ass." my mom said getting loud.

I just started laughing. My mom is like a ride or die chick. She will always have my back no matter what. Even though we fight, we'll still have each other back.

"No ma, it's a bad thing. And I can't explain it."

"Well if you say so."

I ran up the steps with Jim sitting on my bed like he was waiting for me. Uggghhhhhh what does he want now ?

"What now ?"

He didn't say nothing. He just walked up to me and grabbed my face roughly and kissed me like he did before. I didn't hear my mom come upstairs.

"Hey sweetie. Have you seen--"

She stopped abruptly and so did we. She just looked very mad with a red face. I'm going to get it.
