11 Amoroth did not like Lichten’s office; it was cold and damp, deep in the bowels of the ancient hospital. He preferred his well-lit room, surrounded by stacks and stacks of his beloved books. Here the damp and musty smell permeated everything. Lichten’s office was plain and stoic. There were no pictures or decorations lining the single shelf or walls. Although clean, the walls were beginning to show signs of mold. The whole thing slightly disgusted Amoroth, but then Dr. Lichten himself was a little disgusting. He was useful, though, even if he was as crazy as the children he claimed to help. This did not bother Amoroth.
