When Friday finally came, I had to rush from work and head straight home. I got delayed in a phone call with a customer and when I finally was done I had to hurry to be done in time for the banquet.
Coming back to the packhouse, I'm met by Emma in the hallway.
"Hey, what's the rush?" She shouts after me when I run up the stairs, taking two steps at a time to get up faster.
"I'm running late and I have to get ready now if I am going to make it there in time." I answer her and get inside my room.
"I will help you," she says and rushes after me up the stairs when I head over to my bathroom.
I hurry and take a shower while she is going through my shoes to find some that goes well with the dress.
