“Laura?” He called gently as he stepped into the room.
She was nowhere to be found and he had scoured the whole surrounding but there was no sign of her.
He was beginning to get worried. Where could she had gone? Did she leave the house? Has Xander figured out where she was and gotten to her already?
The thought of that made him sick to his stomach and angry.
If Xander has already gotten to her and hurt her, then he couldn't just let it slide. He would get back at him, even if it's the last thing he does.
Just as he was about to storm off, he heard her soft footsteps. Somehow he had memorized her footsteps, after only hearing it twice.
She was coming in from the front gate and he felt panicked.
