Michael slammed his hand against his night table to get her attention. "No, Diana. Your not the same. Don't try to excuse him and don't you EVER call yourself that again." He warned in a calm but deadly voice. He added in, "Want to know what you are? You are a goddess to me, Diana. Ethical, Nobel and pure." Diana started crying, tears pouring down her face. Michael wrapped his arms around her. Diana tried to ignore his warm touch and the fact that she could feel his heat. Michael never hurt any woman. Like Diana, he was hurt in love too. Bianca chose to become an actress, ending it with him in a harsh way. Did she cheat? No. She just sent him an email. A God Damn Email! As he continued to hold her, he whispered in her ear. "Diana," He began. "Who is the man you don't want to love?" He asked again. Diana pulled back, searching his eyes. Those same piercing eyes that looked at her with such adoration now. Diana gave him a sad smile. "If I told you I really was drunk when I said that, would you believe me?" She inquired. She tried to get up, Michael took her seat on his bed before grabbing her wrist. He pulled and when he did so, she was almost on his lap and he was n***d. She tried to avert her eyes. She felt herself blush at his act. He smiled, even his eyes join in on the act, they were beaming. "No," He said before he lowered his head, closing his eyes and capturing her lips in hot and heavy kiss. He moved a hand to the nape of her neck while the other gently pulled and played with her beautiful blonde hair. Diana heart raced and her blood felt like it was boiling. How can one kiss and how he looked entice her? She was a damn virgin! God help her! His scent and taste were all so good. Obviously he brushed his teeth before marching out of his washroom. He withdraw from her but observed her, breathlessly. If there was any doubt she ever experienced Noah or any other man, he would be surprised. Not the way she was fidgeting in his arms, face red as a beet, she tried to catch her breath while removing herself from his bed. He reached out his hand, holding her wrist. "Don't do that." He requested. "Stop running away from me." Diana shook her head vigorously. "I can't do this." He looked at her. "Diana," He said while using his other hand to grasp her jaw between his index and thumb. "Michael," She stated first, placing a gentle hand on his torso, he could see the uncertainty in those gorgeous eyes of hers. "I want to be with the man that loves and values me. I don't need another heartbreaker." He smiled then. Really smiled. She glanced at him before lowering her hand. "Well that's good because I'm certain there will never be a man that loves you, adores you more than I do." Diana stared at him, her mouth open in complete shock. "I can be an egotistical i***t. But I love you unconditionally. I would protect you from anything. Tell me how to make you happy and I'll do it. I'll never break your heart because you are my prize, Diana." She was completely stunned. Michael sent her a beaming smile. "I'm not just saying it to get you into my bed." He remarked. Diana moved her leg a certain way, twisting her ankle. He saw the grimace on her face. But she put her left arm completely around his shoulders. He picked her up, making her lay back down on his bed while he grabbed one of his pillows, putting it underneath her injury. He pointed a finger at her but his eyes were gentle and kind. "Stay here, don't move." Diana noticed the marks on Michael's back. There were so many scars! What happened to him? With that he left her alone for about 7 minutes. When he returned, he carried an ice pack. In his other hand, he was carrying two small white pills and a bottle of water. Diana stared at him. "I can do it." She replied as he put some pressure with the ice pack. "Can you do me a favor?" She covered her eyes briefly. God, seemed like the towel was loose. She blushed as she glanced up at him. "Put some clothes on, please." Michael sent her a smouldering stare. "Am I distracting you?" He asked, lowering himself closer to Diana using his arms. Diana pulled back refusing to answer. Diana met his challenge. "You can stop flirting." He smiled and softly added, "As you command." Michael went to his draw and pulled out his briefs and a pair of black silk bottoms he went to change into. "I'll be right back." He stated before keeping the bathroom door ajar. Diana refused to look in his direction. He returned less then two minutes. When he approached the mattress, Diana glanced up at him. He was still shirtless. He grasped her tiny soft hand in his. "Do you believe me?" He asked. The way he looked at her, worried and took care of her proved he was very much in love with her. She did believe him. He wanted to spend time with her and Elijah. Elijah. She brought her hands up to her face. "Elijah." She whispered. Michael removed her hands down gently. "He ran a fever but Priscilla is looking after him. She would have called me if he got any worse. I asked her too." Diana gave him a brief smile. "Thank You." Michael switched off the light, moving to the other side of his bed. Diana turned her head, fear apparent in her eyes. She stared at him. "No Michael, I'm not-" He just gave her a kind, genuine smile. "Now look, Diana. I am very much in love with you. And I know you are confused and have doubts about me especially how I acted when we first met." Diana couldn't help but glance at his lips with each word. "But I'm not like Noah, okay?" He asked. "Truth is your not ready for intimacy." He said to her softly. "You've been hurt twice tonight. We will sleep together and I mean actual deep restful sleep. You don't need anymore excitement." He told her more firmly. Diana couldn't look away from him as he continued. "But the truth is you keep denying what you feel for me." He said moving his remaining pillow between them. Their lips were centimeters from touching again, the moment he turned onto his side. "When I say I will wait for you, I meant it. You will be the only woman in my life." She watched as Michael turned his body, his back against the mattress in the darkness. "How can you be so sure?" He smiled, before laying his hand over the covers on her hip. "Because, my love, I won't give you any other option. Now sleep." He commanded softly as he shut his eyes for the night. Diana stared at him closely. Even in the darkness, she could see how definitely handsome and desirable he was. She wasn't ready to say to tell him what she felt for him. He just wasn't what she imagined the man in her life to be. He was hot-headed, cruel in business, and yet he was good, kind and loving. He was amazing with children. What stopped her was what Noah said. Michael could of had any girl he wanted and he wanted a virgin. She knew he had experienced two women. Michael pulled her body close to his. "Sleep, Diana." He whispered again, enveloping her into his arms as she slept, her head resting on his shoulder. In a whispered tone, she had asked a question no one, even the the last woman he slept asked. "How did you get those scars on your back?" Michael's sleepy eyes shot open and he saw her concerned look through the dark. The only other woman that seemed to care enough was Bianca, his first love and the very first woman he slept with. "All thanks to dear old stepfather." Was all he replied.
