Elijah’s pov Henry’s sword tapped against Glaydern’s chin. “Orion lives,” Henry hissed. Glaydern’s eyes widened. “Then I fear I am too late.” I stepped forward, voice firm. “You’re not too late. But your crime must not stand. You two will answer for this betrayal.” Rusk’s face twisted with guilt. “Elijah, please. I only did it to keep my family safe. Sebastian promised them refuge on his land.” I pressed my palm to my chest. “Your duty was to protect them. How can you protect them by betraying us?” Tears welled in his eyes. “I… I didn’t want any harm to come to her. I was told she died when Orion died.” I clenched my fists. “They lied. She never killed our father. And now that he lives, she is not yours to deliver.” Liam stepped forward. “What about you, Glaydern? I trusted you.”
