Chapter 11: Ixarxist also known as Xart

1628 Words
Ixartxist was inside his office, reviewing contracts from people who had made deals with him. Suddenly, a shadow demon rose from the floor. Ixartxist paused and looked at it. "What are you doing in my office?" he asked. The shadow demon bowed its head. "Nia'le's heart has stopped." A grin slowly spread across Ixartxist's face. He stood up and walked toward the large glass window overlooking the city. "Very good," he said. "Now that stupid nuisance is no longer standing between me and Tassa." He stared outside. "Now she will be all mine. I can't wait to get my hands on you, Quart." As he spoke, he gripped the crystal goblet in his hand so tightly that it shattered. The broken glass cut deeply into his palm. Blood dripped onto the floor, but he didn't let go. Instead, he tightened his grip even more, crushing the fragments in his hand. He closed his eyes and tilted his head back, ignoring the pain as blood continued to run down his arm. At that moment, his secretary entered the office. "Sir," she said, "I've finished everything you asked me to do." Ixartxist glanced at her from the corner of his eye. "Everything?" "Yes, sir," she replied. "I've completed it all. I even organized the documents to make them easier for you to review. And—" Before she could finish, Ixartxist placed his wounded hand against the glass window, leaving a streak of blood behind. His secretary immediately rushed toward him. "Sir, what happened to your hand?" she asked, taking his injured hand to examine it. Ixartxist only smirked. With his bloodstained fingers, he gently touched her cheek. "Is it that bad, Sia?" he asked. He moved closer, studying her expression. Sia remained silent. Then Ixartxist's expression suddenly changed. He stepped back and glared at her. "This is wrong, Sia. Don't you have a fiancé? Aren't the two of you going to get married?" "It's okay," Sia replied. "He'll never know." Ixartxist took another step back and turned away from her. He walked toward the large glass window and looked outside. "And what if he does?" he asked. Sia followed him. "He won't know." She took his bloody hand and pressed it against her cheek. "It will be our secret. Besides, that's what we are. Your secret-ary." She removed his tie and handed it to him with a smile. Ixartxist smirked. He walked around her, took the tie, and loosely wrapped it around her neck. Sia gasped in surprise. Ixartxist watched her carefully. "Is this really what you want, Sia?" he asked coldly. "You already have someone waiting for you." Sia looked at him. "From you?" she asked. Ixartxist smiled at her. "No." Before she could react, his expression became emotionless. In a single swift movement, he killed her. Her body fell to the floor. The shadow demon that had been waiting silently nearby stepped forward. "Here," Ixartxist said. "You can have the body. Just make sure you clean everything up." The shadow demon gratefully accepted the offering. A dark hole opened beneath it, and both the demon and the body disappeared. The office became silent once again. Ixartxist sat down in his chair and adjusted his tie. "One thing that always irritates me," he muttered, "is how people willingly betray those who love them." He leaned back and closed his eyes. "They sin every day and pretend there will never be consequences. They treat sacred things as if they mean nothing." He sighed. "I pity them. They live however they want, never questioning where their choices will lead them." After a few moments, he stood up. He took his coat from the hanger and glanced at his wounded hand. The injury had already healed. Ixartxist paid it no attention. He put on his coat, left the office, and closed the door behind him. Ixartxist went to another one of his companies in New York. Xart was one of the most famous businessmen in the world and owned one of the largest companies in the music industry. He was also known for his charity work. He regularly donated money to orphanages and even owned an orphanage himself, where he helped care for poor children. Sometimes, when he saw homeless children on the streets, he would adopt them and give them a better life. Because of these actions, many people believed he was a genuinely good person. Children adored him. Adults respected him. Some people even devoted their lives to working for him and praised him as if he were a saint. In the eyes of the public, Ixartxist possessed every admirable quality a person could have. He was also an exceptionally attractive man. He had bright golden hair, ocean-blue eyes, and a small dimple that could be seen even when he wasn't smiling. Because of his appearance, many women were captivated by him the moment they saw him. His charm made it easy for him to win people's trust. He used his charisma to attract women. He used his intelligence to persuade men. And he used his kindness to earn the trust and affection of children. Because of this, it was incredibly difficult for anyone who knew him to doubt him. After all, he had done so many good things for so many people. However, there was one thing Ixartxist despised more than anything else. Hypocrisy and reckless lust. He hated people who treated intimacy casually or without commitment. He especially disliked those who used others for pleasure, personal gain, or money. To him, there were people working tirelessly every day to survive, while others chose shortcuts that harmed both themselves and others. Ixartxist considered it one of humanity's most foolish sins. His belief was simple: "Intimacy is sacred, not secret." He believed it should only exist within marriage and that children born from a loving union were a blessing given to those who honored that commitment. Whether people agreed with him or not, it was a belief he held firmly and never compromised. ***Company in New York*** Xart entered his company, and all of his employees greeted him as he passed by. One of his assistants took his coat and hat, and Xart thanked him politely. He stepped into the elevator and noticed several women already inside. Xart immediately tried to calm himself. The women were chatting among themselves, their voices filling the small space. To most people, it would have sounded harmless. To him, it was irritating. He clenched his arm in frustration until his fingers dug into his own flesh. His nails pierced through his skin and reached deep enough to touch bone. Blood began flowing from the wound. However, he quietly cast a spell to hide it, preventing the people in the elevator from seeing the blood dripping onto the floor. When the elevator reached the seventh floor, Xart quickly stepped out. He walked to his office, entered, and quietly closed the door behind him. When he turned around, he saw Calaguas sitting in his chair. Xart wasn't surprised. He simply walked toward his desk. "Why are you in my office?" he asked. Calaguas stood up and offered him the chair. "Someone's not in a good mood today." Ixartxist sat down and rested his bleeding arm on the desk. "What makes you think that?" Calaguas glanced at the deep wound, where part of the bone was already visible. "The overwhelming amount of resentment coming from you." He pointed at the injury. "And... what happened to your arm?" Ixartxist closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair. "Revolting whispers all over the place." Calaguas chuckled. "Hell is still empty." "The whispers of those women," Ixartxist replied. "Would they ever stop talking? I hate those flirtatious girls. I'm sick of them." Calaguas laughed even harder. Unfortunately for him, Ixartxist wasn't in the mood to be teased. Calaguas sat down in the chair across from the desk, crossed his legs, and pressed his fingertips together. "Don't you like them? Women are a gift to men, you know." Ixartxist rolled his eyes. "I'm not like you. I didn't go to Hell because of some flirtatious human. I went to Hell because of a wrong decision." "Too bad. I thought we were the same. Didn't you go to Hell because—" "I didn't," Ixartxist interrupted firmly. "I made my own decision." Calaguas raised an eyebrow and pressed his lips together. "Alright then. What's done is done. We just have to accept it." His expression suddenly became serious. "Some demons are possessing humans just so priests can perform exorcisms on them. They think it'll somehow give them a chance to return to Heaven." Calguas's Said. Ixarxist shook his head. "But we both know it doesn't work." Calaguas leaned back in his chair. "Don't humans understand? Once they die, their spirit separates from their body. The spirit moves on to the spirit world while the body remains in the ground and decays." Ixartxist stared at him blankly. "I think they already know that." "If they know it," Calaguas asked, "then why do they believe otherwise?" Before Ixartxist could answer, someone suddenly appeared right on top of his desk. Suman. He casually sat down on the desk and stretched out his hand with a grin. "Greetings, friends." Neither of them shook his hand. Suman looked disappointed. So he grabbed both of their hands himself and shook them enthusiastically. Ixartxist immediately pulled his hand away. Then he shoved Suman off the desk. "Get off." He pointed toward the wall. "And face that direction." Suman merely smirked. Instead of obeying, he dragged a nearby couch directly in front of the desk. Then he sat down on it properly, crossing one leg over the other as if he owned the office. "Much better," he said.
