Tassa woke up earlier than Nia'le and found herself surrounded by the quiet darkness of the early morning.
Confused, she asked Ayamani what time it was.
"It's three in the morning," he calmly replied.
Tassa frowned. Why had she woken up so early?
Then she suddenly realized she needed to use the bathroom.
Thinking that was probably the reason, she carefully got out of bed, trying not to disturb Nia'le, who was still sleeping peacefully on the floor.
Unfortunately, in her sleepy state, she accidentally stepped on him.
The sudden pain jolted Nia'le awake.
"AAARGH!"
He rolled across the floor in agony like a wounded deer.
Tassa immediately panicked and rushed toward him.
"Nia'le! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that!"
She stood beside him, looking genuinely concerned while he winced in pain.
"Let me try to help," she said. "Maybe a gentle massage will ease the pain."
Nia'le's cold stare softened for a brief moment.
"Do you even know what part of my body you stepped on?"
Caught off guard, Tassa shook her head.
"I don't know. I'm really sorry, Nia'le. I was just heading to the bathroom and forgot you were sleeping there. Does it really hurt that much?"
"Yeah," Nia'le replied. "Because you stepped on my sprinkling magic wand, you insignificant girl."
Tassa blinked.
"My what?"
She stared at him in complete confusion.
"Excuse me, what? I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm following you."
Nia'le immediately mimicked her voice.
"'Aym syurie ay downt think aym following you.'"
Tassa unfolded her arms and glared at him.
"Okay, okay, I get it. No need to mock me like that."
Nia'le sighed, stood up, and explained more directly.
"I'm talking about the male organ. The one used for urination and reproduction."
Tassa's eyes widened.
"Oh... you mean d**k"
The realization finally hit her.
Her cheeks instantly turned red.
Nia'le folded his arms and glared at her.
"What a misguided, insignificant person you are."
"What do you mean misguided?" Tassa asked, even more embarrassed.
Ignoring her question, Nia'le turned toward the bathroom.
"It's called a p***s. Only vulgar people call it something else. I just call it a sprinkling magic wand because it sprinkles magic everywhere."
Tassa's face became even redder.
Out of embarrassment and frustration, she grabbed a nearby lamp and prepared to throw it at him.
"Don't!" Nia'le immediately shouted.
He quickly rushed over and grabbed the lamp from her hands.
"It cost me fifty-five hundred dollars! Please don't!"
Tassa paused.
"You bought it?"
Nia'le carefully held the lamp, kissed it dramatically, and grinned.
"Nope. I stole it."
Then he turned toward the bathroom.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to check my wand. And please, Tassa... don't throw anything, okay?"
Tassa glowered at him for a moment and took a deep breath to calm herself.
Reluctantly, she agreed.
Nia'le grinned, kissed her on the forehead, and said, "That's my girl."
Then he headed to the bathroom, leaving Tassa speechless.
After a moment, she folded her arms and muttered defensively,
"Now who is he copying?"
Ayamani rolled his eyes.
"But seriously, just how many men are there who are going to try their luck with her?"
Meanwhile, Nia'le stood inside the bathroom, worried about his so-called Sprinkling Magic Wand.
"What the heck is wrong with her? Why would she do that?" he muttered.
Then a memory suddenly flashed through his mind.
His cheeks immediately turned red.
He remembered how Tassa had sincerely offered to massage it earlier. The innocent suggestion had completely caught him off guard.
Unable to stop thinking about it, Nia'le quickly left the bathroom.
"Hey, Tassa," he called.
His voice carried a mixture of playfulness and fake seriousness.
"Do you remember when you said you wanted to massage it? Well, I think you need to do it now. It still hurts. The pain is unbearable."
Tassa's face instantly turned crimson.
"I-I'm sorry, but I don't think it even has bones or anything."
Nia'le burst out laughing.
"Of course it has bones, joints, and everything."
His laughter echoed through the room.
"You don't know because you don't have one."
Tassa's face became even redder.
"I can't! The person I love wouldn't like that idea. Besides, I don't think it has any. And he told me that's something private. Shame on you!"
Before Nia'le could answer, Ayamani grabbed a nearby vase and smashed it over his head.
"What bones?" Ayamani asked coldly.
The vase shattered.
Tassa immediately became worried when she heard the sound of breaking glass.
"Nia'le? Are you alright?"
There was no response.
She turned toward Ayamani.
"What happened to him?"
"Don't worry, Tassa," Ayamani calmly replied. "I just put him into a deep sleep so he can't bother you."
Tassa smiled.
"Thank you, Ayamani."
"It was nothing, Tassa. Now go back to sleep. It's still too early."
Ayamani carefully guided her back to bed and covered her with a blanket.
"Goodnight, Tassa."
Just as he was about to leave, Tassa stirred.
"Ayamani."
"Yes? What is it, Tassa?"
"Thank you... for everything you've done for me."
Ayamani simply smiled.
"It was nothing. Now go back to sleep."
Tassa smiled and soon drifted into a peaceful sleep.
Meanwhile, Nia'le was still lying on the floor, unconscious.
After making sure Tassa was comfortable, Ayamani turned his attention to him. He healed Nia'le's injuries and gently put him into a proper sleep.
As he watched the young man resting quietly, Ayamani sighed.
"I'm glad to see Quart finally has a friend."
He paused.
"Though that friend might be more troublesome than Ixartxist."
Three days later, Nia'le and Tassa found themselves at the beach.
Being the gentleman that he was, Nia'le carefully guided Tassa along the shore. The waves rolled softly against the sand as they walked.
Eventually, Nia'le stopped.
"Are we there yet?" Tassa asked.
Instead of answering, Nia'le suddenly lifted her into his arms.
"Quiet," he said. "And don't say anything insignificant."
Tassa laughed sarcastically.
"Oh wow. Since when did I ever say anything insignificant to you?"
Nia'le snorted.
"Since when? Every word that comes out of your mouth is insignificant to me."
He smirked.
"Even you are insignificant."
Tassa folded her arms.
"Then why are you carrying an insignificant person?"
For the first time, Nia'le had no immediate answer. He simply kept walking along the beach while pretending he hadn't heard her.
Perplexed, Tassa frowned at him.
"Why do you feel that way?" she asked.
"Because you're making me carry you, that's why!" Nia'le replied.
"But I didn't ask you to!" Tassa argued. "You were the one who suddenly carried me."
"And you didn't say no, did you?" Nia'le shot back.
"Because you told me not to say a word! That's why!"
"And did you listen? No, you did not!"
Tassa opened her mouth to explain, but Nia'le immediately cut her off.
"Shhh!"
Frustrated, Tassa muttered under her breath.
"Who asked you anyway?"
The truth was, Nia'le wasn't carrying Tassa because he had to. He simply wanted to look at her face up close.
Even in his own thoughts, he couldn't explain it properly. He knew that Tassa was beautiful, but he kept insisting to himself that he didn't actually like her. Yet no matter how much he denied it, he always found himself staring at her face.
After walking for a while, Tassa suddenly told him to stop.
"Wait. We're here."
Nia'le gently put her down and looked around.
"What are we looking for exactly?" he asked.
"Ayamani told me to find a girl," Tassa replied. "He said she's somewhere around here."
Nia'le rolled his eyes and folded his arms.
"Okay, that was great. How thoughtful of him. But did he also remember that you're blind?" he complained. "And how does a Grim Reaper expect a blind girl to find another girl?"
Tassa remained silent while Nia'le continued grumbling.
"Besides, if he already knows where she is, why won't he just tell us where she is in the first place? And why does he want us to find a girl we don't even know?"
Nia'le shook his head.
"What an insignificant kind of Grim Reaper he is."
