Episode 14: WORK AS A COMMONER

(The sun gently caress the damaged city, waking up the residents to yet another beautiful day. The great people of Sina doing the best they could to rebuild their fallen city by staying optimistic of a change in power. Kevin is already up preparing to set off when Saki wakes up from her sleep)

Kevin: I thought you've forgotten our arrangement

Saki: Sorry I overslept. Was up all night staring at the moon. It's beautiful

Kevin: Yea. That's the only thing that is still captivating in this city

Saki: I don't think so. I think it's really amazing how the people still hope for better days even though the chances of that is slim

Kevin: Cry of the weak. That's all we can do

Saki. I guess so. What happened to your parents? Sam told me he doesn't know your mother. Why did your father join the resistance?

Kevin: I will tell you on the way. Wash your face let's leave

Saki: Where are we going?

Kevin: I'm going to work on the farm owned by one of the Lords. The Emperor gave gifts to his trusted friends and gave them title of Lordship

Saki: (talks to herself he avoided the earlier question about his father, I wonder what happened. Goes to wash her face and immediately she is done, she pulls out a journal and walks beside Kevin pretending to take note of the places they pass)

Kevin: When did you start writing?

Saki: Not to long ago, maybe a month or two. You will be surprised to know your city will be my first work (smiles)

Kevin: (fake smile) Please write something good about us

Saki: (giggles) Sure thing. Why did your father join the resistance when he knew he could lose his life?

Kevin: Do you intend to put that in your writing?

Saki: No. I'm just curious (tries to make a joke after noticing how high his emotions have risen) You know how curious cats are, well that's me (laughs)

Kevin: We are here (they arrive in a large field filled with workers and each section of the land has a man mounted in wooden tall building that supervises the work making sure none of the workers are slacking off. Kevin goes to a building and gets a plough before returning to where he left Saki) This is going to take long, what do you plan to do?

Saki: I'm going to look around the city

Kevin: But you don't have a guide

Saki: Don't worry I can take care of myself. See you later

Kevin: Yea. (He bends over and starts to work on the hard soil. It took twenty minutes before he could break the soil open into furrows before moving on. As he was working on the soil, the question Saki asked him flashed through his head and he angrily struck the plough against a rock which broke the handle. The supervisor saw this and alerted the guards and they approached Kevin)

Guard 1: Hey mongrel! I saw you break the plough. (uses his whip to deliver series of strokes on Kevin) The Lord was too kind to employ you messets to work on his field and this is how you repay him? Impudent scoundrel you should be grateful of his benevolent (another guard approaches them and stops the beating)

Guard 2: Your pay will be used to replace this plough

Kevin: (manages to speak) The money the Lord pays for working in his field is not enough to buy a new plough. It's not even enough to use feed I and my brother. Can you please cut alittle off my pay? Don't use it all please, I'm begging you. I have an eight year old brother

Guard 2: Motherfucker still have the  guts to negotiate. You are in no position to make demands, know your place rat (kicks him repeatedly in the stomach until he got tired. The first guard kicks him in the mouth knocking his molar out) Hurry go get another plough and finish your work. Be sure to damage it (Kevin slowly gets up and walks to the building he got the previous plough. The second guard kicks him on the ass to hurry. He gets the plough and resumes his work. They still stood making fun of him till they left. In the evening when everyone is done with their work and already left, Kevin sat on the ground feeling his mouth and didn't notice when Saki and Sam came)

Saki: Hey are you still working? (Sam pats Kevin on the shoulder)

Sam: Big brother I am hungry

Kevin: (smiles at him) Big brother doesn't have money for food today. I promise to buy you lots of food and candy once I get paid (Sam sobs, Saki punch him gently on the shoulder)

Saki: Big brother asked me to buy food and candy for you but silly me forgot. Can you forgive me? (Pouts)

Sam: (smiles graceful) Yes

Kevin: I did?

Saki: Yes you did. Let's go, come on (Kevin got up and follow her while holding Sam. They make their way to the emporium and Kevin calls Saki aside)

Kevin: Things sold inside are very expensive and I am serious about not having any money

Saki: No one needs your money even if you have. You coming or not? (she takes Sam inside and he starts pointing at everything. Luckily for Saki the Shadow Realm money is much higher than the money used anywhere mostly because the Realm is very prestigious. When they finished their shopping, Saki held two bags while Kevin held two bags and Sam is only holding a sweet which he eventually ate before they exited the emporium. Outside the emporium, a horde of soldiers was outside waiting for them. The soldiers were led by Lucy; a bald slender woman with thick eyebrows and flat chest. She was wearing a long grey overcoat with black belt tied at the waist and black high heeled boots. Sam hides behind Kevin)

Lucy: Kevin Wayne you are under arrest for breaking the property of your Lord and also for disrespecting the guards stationed to watch over you. You are to report to the Emperor now and make your statement

Kevin: I didn't disrespect anyone. They were misusing the power giving to them

Guard 1: Why you! (The guard that used the whip on Kevin tries to punch him but Saki deflects the punch and elbow punch the man. She knocks him out. Lucy pretends she doesn't know her and orders for her to be arrested. Ten guards rush to arrest her and she let go of the bags, before they could touch the floor the guards are already unconscious and she looks at Kevin)

Saki: I told you I can take care of myself (Lucy holds a knife on Sam's throat. She snuck behind Kevin and took him without anyone noticing)

Lucy: You wanna do this the easy way or the hard way? Mind you I don't care if I kill a kid

Kevin: Stop. Don't hurt him please. I will comply (puts his hand behind his back)

Lucy: What about your girlfriend?

Kevin: Rose please stop

Saki: I'm not his girlfriend and if a strand of hair falls off that kid's head, you are dead (sighs and let's herself to be arrested. They take them to the Emperor's palace and he was sitting on his throne playing with one of his slut. The slut was naked and sprayed whipped cream on her breast while the Emperor licks it off of her. They were engaged in foreplay when Saki and Kevin were brought to him. A guard kicks them in the back of their knee forcing them to kneel before the Emperor)

Lucy: (kneels to him) I brought the fugitives

Emperor Josh: Good work. Who is the fine lass with him?

Lucy: Her name is Saki Render going with the alias Rose. She is a member of the organization Hunter's; a bunch of mercenaries but she came here with the false impression of being a writer that writes about fallen cities

Emperor Josh: (smacks the slut on the ass and she walks away. He comes closer to Saki bringing her face close to him) What a fine face.

Saki: Get your filthy paws off me (tries to bite him)

Emperor Josh: She is feisty, I like her. Do you want to be my bride? I'm sure Kevin wouldn't mind

Saki: f**k you

Emperor Josh: (laughs hysterically) You are quite the character miss Render. (looks at Kevin) Wayne Wayne Wayne! You are making me out to be a bad guy. Haven't I been nice to you and your brother? After your stupid old man, the former Emperor rose a rebellion against me and I humiliated and killed him just to make you not to follow same path he did and now you side with a mercenary. Why can't we be friends?

Kevin: You killed my father you bastard

Saki: You didn't tell me your father was the former Emperor

Kevin: You lied about being a writer

Emperor Josh: Silence! (walks to where Lucy stood holding Sam. He takes him from her and bends looking at Sam shake) What should I do to your brother?

Kevin: Let go of my brother you prick

Emperor Josh: Did you hear what your brother called me? He called me a prick, Sam do you know what prick means?  (Sam shakes his head no) You are a good boy. Prick is that rod-like structure between your legs that you use to urinate but don't be confused my dear, your prick can be used to do stuff other than urinate. It can be used to get a girl pregnant but don't worry you are too young for that part for now. The best thing about your prick is when it wants something it gets hard, really hard and it makes you uncomfortable till you stick it in a wet hole called v****a. But prick can also mean someone who is annoying or rude but I'm neither of those. Maybe I should show you what a prick is by cutting off your brother's you know teachings without practical is absurd. But you know Sam I really want to inflict pain to your brother for disobeying me so I think the best thing to do here is cut off your own prick so he could watch you bleed and you can also get the full experience of my teaching. Do you like that idea Sam? (Tears drop down Sam's cheek)

Kevin: Please stop. Don't do this

Emperor Josh: Next time think twice before you disobey me (pulls Sam hard on the hair)

Saki: (slices off Josh's hand in the blink of an eye. Blood splash on Sam's face) You should have asked baldie what I warned her against (Josh shouts in pain holding his hand. He calls for his guards and immediately they circle round Saki. She cleans Sam's face with her cloth) I'm sorry for the blood. Go to your brother let me settle this

(Saito walks out of his portal gracefully with both hands in his pockets. He opens twenty six portals and rains weapons randomly at the houses attacking and causing injuries and deaths. A big portal opens next to him and he unleashes a weapon which creates a massive explosion in the realm, destroying alot of properties. The explosion causes the ground to quake)

Tsume: (She was unwrapping Sora's bandages when they felt the quake) What was that?

Sora: He is here (runs to where the explosion occurred)

Takashi: Saito...! (He disappears)

Saito: Now that should have gotten their attention (evil smirk)
