Recruit

"Here's my payment for rent," a man with a covered face handed his payment for the computer he rented to the watcher who seemed to be too engrossed with whatever she was doing in her computer. Ever so subtly, the man moved to the side and glanced at the screen, finding out codes and whatnot that he often saw his daughter did in her own computer whenever she tried to do something. The watcher looked up at him, forehead slightly creasing because of his obvious nosiness. She looked at him from head to toes and just shrugged him off, taking the one dollar bill on his hand and gave him his change then went back on her business. "What are you doing?" the man asked, still looking at the screen that was full of green colored letters, number and symbols that he barely understood but all too familiar, then to the girl who seemed surprised by his curiosity. The man knew about what she was doing, it was very familiar because of his daughter that he often saw too engrossed with those codes as well. Her expression also reminded her of her daughter, they had fire burning in their eyes, the passion of cracking and knowing something, the actions of doing everything to the fullest to know what they had to know. "Uh, something confidential," she just answered, then went back on doing her thing, not sparing another look to the man. The man nodded and went out, a thought playing on his mind. +++ "Computer Five! Time!" the woman shouted from where she was seated, she glanced only slightly at the computer when it rang that indicated someone's time was up from using the computer that they let for rent, then immediately went back to continuing her hacking of one account that was asked by her friend because she thought she was cheating on her. "Extend for thirty-minutes!" the man on the computer that she called out replied that made her forehead creased because he kept on extending, but anyway, as long as he would pay, she was fine. "Wow, this man's really is cheating," she muttered to herself upon finding something on her friend's boyfriend's social media account. "He flirted a lot and deleted the conversations, he would give his username in one shopping platform, and there they would flirt? Wow. Impressively disgusting." She continuously scrolled the conversations, she could find multiple women, and they had their own agenda. She even saw nude pictures that caused her to yelp on herself in surprise as she immediately scrolled it out of the frame. This guy was known for being a 'good guy', they even approved of him while he was courting their friend. But then he suddenly changed according to her, he became colder after months of being together. She decided to save all the information and took it into her flash drive, she also picked up her phone and decided to call her friend who requested her on hacking her boyfriend's account. The only thing the man decided to do was to mess up with someone who had a friend that knew how to use the computer more than any other. "Bella," she called as soon as her friend answered, plugging the wireless earphones on her ear and exited the computer to home, "I've got the- Hey! Where do you think you're going!?" "What? Andrea, hello?" "Don't you dare come out of that door without paying, you prick!" she shouted and threatened, the man who was sneaking out of the shop without paying. The sound of the screeching of a metal chair echoed in the whole four walls of the computer shop when Andrea, the seventeen-year-old girl who was currently on standby and the watcher of the computer shop where she was working on, stood up and jumped from the table where she was sitting. "Guard the cabinet, 'toy! I'll be back quick!" she shouted, ordering the small kid that she always welcomed to let use one computer for his studies, and sometimes for leisure that she covered the fee of but in return he had to watch the computer shop whenever something like this happened. "Alright, chase well," she heard the kid answered while watching her run out of the computer shop. "Hey! Come back here!" she called again, chasing after a teen which seemed to be older than her but bore a lot of confidence but bore no money to pay his due fees for using the computer all day long. The guy didn't listen but instead ran even faster, passing by the people and bumping some just to get through them faster and get away from her. Andrea clicked her tongue, she really didn't want to run most of the time, but she didn't dislike it either, she often went jogging every time she got to have her health balanced. Since she was more involved in radiation, it often affected her eyesight and health so she got to do something to make her immune system stronger. But it was different right now, she was running after a horse, not literally, but the way he ran was like a horse, he was really adamant about not paying and she guessed he had already planned it from the start. And one more thing, she was still on call with her friend Bella who only did nothing but listen to her heavy breathing and curses under her breath. "Andrea, did you call me to listen to you chasing a scam? Oh, I see you running outside our house," Bella laughed through her high-pitched voice, when she looked behind her, she found Bella waving her hand through their second floor's veranda. She just rolled her eyes at her and focused on the guy who kept on running. Since their computer shop was kind of placed on a squatter area, the place was packed and full of people and kids, this place was also the area where crimes were a lot and tremendous so running after someone was not that new, and being bumped onto people which would earn complaint and loud nags from them that would only add to the pollution. "Hey, stop! You only owe me two dollars!" she screamed again, jumping onto the dirty pool on the rough ground and jumped in the middle of the kids who were playing in the middle of the road, "Anyway, Bella." "Oh, you've finally recognized me," Bella joked, feigning surprise by the sudden call of her name. "Well, you're not ending the call, of course," she replied, pushing through the group of people while craning her neck to not let the running man out of her sight, "Anyway, I called you about your ex." "My ex? Who among them?" Andrea rolled her eyes, "Your will-be-added ex, Bryan. Yes, he's cheating." She squinted her eyes and tilted her head when she found a man standing nearby, much ahead of her and the man she was chasing. It was the nosy man who asked about what she was doing earlier, and now he was standing by the post and watching her. She waved her hand, getting his attention, she pointed to the man she was chasing, telling him silently to corner him. "I knew it. I should beat the whole out of him for fooling me," she heard Bella answered after a whole while of silence, she still probably processed the word that her boyfriend that she knew was an angel was actually a demon inside. Andrea saw the man stepped back slightly, seemingly cool but he was planning something. When the guy was already going past him, he subtly moved his foot backward just exactly enough to trip the man that caused him to roll on the ground and grunted. The man also stepped on the guy's hand a little too firm to forbid him from running away again. She jumped on the guy, stepping on his chest which earned a lot of attention because she seemed to be harassing someone but the truth was she was the one being stolen of money and would be the one to be harassed if there was money missing on the owner of the shop's money once she tallied the capital. "You're going to pay or I'll let the police know about this? Or worst the Themis Agency? I will send a letter to detain you in their agency along with the other notorious criminals, do you want that?" she threatened, eyes wide and nose flaring to add intense on what she was saying. "That trashy agency is not that low to detain a person who was running for two dollars," the man shot back, which only made him groan because Andrea pushed more her foot on his chest. "That's true, but you did something that could make you detained." They both looked at the man when he spoke, his arms were crossed while looking at the guy then at Andrea. "You called them in your term 'trashy' which I supposed is an insult, obviously, so basically, you talked bad about the agency which was something that you shouldn't do and enough for the agents to take you with them if they heard about it," he explained, adjusting his bucket hat which allowed Andrea to see the glimpse of his face. Her eyes widened upon recognition, she gasped and placed her hand on her mouth, "H-Her..." "Well, look? There's no agent here, so I'm safe. But fine!" the man exclaimed with an irritated expression, "Get off of me and I'll pay." Andrea tilted her head, looking at the guy with full of skepticism, instead of giving to the guy's request, she looked at the man who owned the Themis Agency himself and said, "Can you step on this man's chest for me? I'll check his purse, better be sure than sorry." Hermes shook his head, "I'm sorry, kid. I don't step on people literally and figuratively." He took the guy's arm instead and pulled him to stand, he took his hands and twisted them to the back which made the poor guy grunt, "Search him. There's no need to step on him like an animal." Andrea nodded, impressed by how the man thought, but anyway, that was something to expect from the man who built an agency where fairness and justice existed. She searched the guy's body, he was squirming and trying his best to let go of his hands from the man's grip but to no avail. She found his purse, bearing a lot of money which made her huffed at his frugality. "You have a lot of money but you cannot even give me two dollars after you used my electricity and computer," she chided as she pulled two bills and closed the wallet, putting it back in his pocket, "You're banned in our computer shop from now on." Hermes let go of the guy and he immediately flew out of the place. Andrea just remembered that she was still on call with Bella, but she didn't get out in front of the man. "I'll give you the flash drive of your ex's history later, Bella. I'll see you later," she ended the call, taking out the wireless earphones from her ear and bowed at the man, "Thank you for helping me. It's a pleasure to meet you, but I gotta go." "I have been keeping eyes on you, Andrea Waltz," Hermes just said, "You are living on your own, how about we discuss something?" Her eyebrow raised, squinting her eyes in confusion, "By something you mean?" "Joining the agency."
