“You wanted to see me Lily?”
Blearily I opened my eyes , when I had phone Alice an hour ago and asked if I could have a meeting with Luca, her husband. I had thought he would turn up in the morning.
And yet here he was.
And it was ten pm.
“Hi, yeah.” I shifted my weight. “Thank you for coming.”
He stepped into the room silently. And I marvelled at how quiet he could move for such a well built man. He wasn’t as broad as Stefano was but there was a deadly stealth to his movements.
Deadly.
The description seemed apt.
“Alice made it sound urgent.” His brown eyes swept over me and narrowed. “I thought Stefano would be here?”
“No, I haven’t seen him. It was him I wanted to talk to you about though.”
He nodded as if that made sense. And then softly closed the door behind him. V
