The nerves kicked in the moment Stefano slammed the door with his foot behind us my heart thudded in my chest , knocking against my ribs so loudly it was surprising it didn’t hear it from where he was staring at me. His back against the door.
“Lily.” His voice was rough, rougher then I had ever heard it. Commanding and gruff. It feathered over my skin like velvet . Dark and dirty. “Come here.”
