“I don’t have time for this Luca.” I had been grumbling the same thing for the last twenty minutes as we crawled through New York traffic as at snails pace.
What ever he had planned could wait. I had royally messed up with Lily by not talking to her properly when I got back this morning. I should have explained why I had been gone all night I should not have gone all alpha Male on her and left.
Because she hadn’t come back.
And I was worried out of my head.
Luca was no good, his simple “she’s with Alice she’s fine.” Didn’t exactly feel me with hope. Alice was always unpredictable, like the way she had left Luca in bed and gone home on their wedding night. Of course Luca had followed her, but that wasn’t the point. What would I do if Lily left?
