Nadia's POV
The board voted to remove Julian as CEO on a Monday morning.
He got the call while changing Elise's diaper. I watched his face go blank, that corporate mask sliding into place.
"Effective immediately?" he said into the phone. "I see. No, I won't be coming in to clear my office. Ship everything here." He hung up.
"Julian."
"They replaced me with Henderson. Gave him my office, my assistant, everything." He finished fastening Elise's onesie. "Thirty years with that company. Gone in a five-minute phone call."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I knew this was coming." He picked up Elise. "They'll tank the company within two years. Henderson's an i***t who only cares about quarterly profits."
"You could fight it."
"I could. Spend the next year in court, drag Elise through depositions
