My mood was completely terrible today. That guy was really annoying. He didn’t even say thank you.
My thoughts kept getting disturbed by it, and on top of that…
Out of everything that happened, “Why is his shirt still left here…!”
I crushed the shirt in my hand, balled it up, and threw it back into the laundry basket.
“Sean…” I growled. "Who does he think he is? Besides, I would never be interested in another man, especially someone like him!”
My chest rose and fell rapidly. Just remembering him was enough to raise my blood pressure.
“I hope he never comes back here for his clothes. I’d rather never have to look at that annoying face again.”
Amid the chaotic emotions inside me, my phone suddenly rang loudly from my room.
“Tch…!”
Even though I was annoyed, I still walked toward the room. It was actually easy to guess who was calling me.
“Hmph, that woman again…” I muttered when I saw the caller number.
Honestly, I almost didn’t pick up. But compared to hearing the phone ring all day, it was better to just answer it.
Her voice burst out the moment I pressed the button.
“Caleb, don’t forget your promise tonight, okay? Remember, your father is the one who asked you to come. Don’t disappoint him.” She sounded like an express train—rushed, unstoppable.
“Tch… Mom, can you talk a bit slower? You sound like an assurance agent,” I replied, pressing my fingers to the bridge of my nose.
“What’s important is you must come tonight! Don’t embarrass your father!”
She didn’t even care at all and kept emphasizing her demands on me.
“I’ll come, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I agree with you,” I answered firmly.
“Caleb, w—”
“That’s enough, Mom. I still have things to do.”
“Caleb! Wait! Cal—”
Without waiting for her to continue, I ended the call.
Tuuuut…
The sound of the disconnected line filled my room for a moment.
I blocked her number. Just temporarily. I didn’t want her calling me all day just to remind me about that useless event.
My stomach growled so loud.
“Tch, I got hungry again…”
I went back to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and checked the food inside.
Nothing really was there.
I forgot to stock up on food because I usually eat out a lot, and honestly, I don't really cook.
“Better to just eat out today…," I closed the fridge again and went back to my room to change clothes.
Just a couple minutes, I was ready. I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
“Yah, not bad…” I said after looking at my appearance—a black shirt with two white buttons left open and semi-formal white trousers. I also wore a gold wristwatch and a necklace with a pendant.
Satisfied, I grabbed my phone and car keys, then left the apartment.
I walked toward the parking area, where I met some security guards who greeted me politely.
“Good day, sir,” one of them said nicely, with a slight smile on his face.
I smiled faintly in return and walked to my car.
After getting into my car, I started the engine and drove out of the apartment area.
I looked around the street for a place to eat, and then my eyes caught a glimpse of a Japanese restaurant across the road.
“It had been a long time since I last ate sushi…”
So my choice fell on that restaurant, which didn’t look too fancy—simple, but clean.
I was greeted warmly by the staff, once I entered the restaurant and quickly went to place my order.
“California sushi roll, sushi set, and matcha tea,” I said, pointing at the digital menu board.
"Congratulations, sir! You are the first customer to order our most expensive menu item—sushi with caviar—so you'll receive special treatment!" she chirped happily.
“Let me show you upstairs, sir?” another waiter appear out of nowhere and guided me.
He walked ahead of me and led me to a small private booth upstairs.
“Please,” he said while sliding the door open.
I observed around the room, There was a small minimalist table, four cushions, a small side cabinet, a phone charging spot, an AC.
It was quite comfortable. Not as bad as I had imagined.
“The utensils are in the side cabinet,” the waiter explained. His gaze then shifted beside the door. “You can order again here, or call a waiter,” he added, pointing at the digital menu screen with a voice call feature.
“Yes, I understand,” I replied, slightly impatient, but I decided not to interrupt him. I knew it was part of his job, and I needed to be respectful.
“Your food will arrive in 30 minutes. Please wait, and thank you…”
Finally, he left.
“Haah…” I sat down and leaned back near the window, stretching out.
My eyes moved outside, watching people coming into the restaurant from the small window. While I was watching, I was suddenly startled by someone who looked somewhat familiar.
That red hair....
My mind immediately replayed what happened this morning, along with his stupid grin.
“Nah, it'’s probably just a coincidence, or maybe I was wrong. There’s no way it’s him… right? I can’t possibly meet him again…” I brushed the thought away and shook my head.
Then, I shifted my focus to my phone, checking news, social media, and messages from several people at the office.
I looked through schedules, clients—basically company reports I was handling. Right now, I was managing a digital marketing company that had been running for four years, and in the last two years it had grown quite fast.
My eyes scanned the list of clients registered this week until I heard a knock on the door.
A soft knock distracted me as the door being slid open. “Please, this is your orde—”
Our eyes met in the middle, and neither I nor he could move. It felt like time froze.
“You…!” I snapped, back to reality.
Instinctively, I pointed at him and tried to step forward—but I ended up kicking the tray in his hands.
CRASH!
All the food fell onto my pants. Messy and sticking onto it.
His eyes widened in horror when he saw the mess in the room. “You i***t…! What are you doing, huh!? So careless!" he yelled at me. Not anger, but out of concern.
Somehow, I felt like I was being scolded, as if I were a todler. “You know sushi rice is a bit sticky! You have to pick it off by hand!”
He bent down and carefully picked the rice off one by one, without realizing that the distance between us had disappeared.
He was too close. I could even smell an apple-like scent from his body.
Shit. He touched 'something' down there.
A sudden sensation shot up my spine, spreading a wave of intense heat that instantly pooled low in my stomach.
Did he do it on purpose? I had tried scanning his face.... He genuinely didn't seen aware of what he had done.
“Hey…” I grabbed his wrist.
He flinched and looked at me. Those turquoise eyes of his were clear and bright, showing nothing but pure confusion.
"Wha-what??" He asked sound nervous.
I pulled him closer, leaning down until my lips were right next to his ear. My voice came out low, rough, and strangely hoarse. “Do you know you shouldn’t be touching ‘that’?”
His eyebrows furrowed, and slowly his eyes moved downward. Only within a few seconds, his face turned pale white—then red spread all the way to his ears.
“I-I didn’t know… it was accidental… so-sorry…!” He lowered his head and tried to pull away.
“I never expected another man would dare touch me like this, you know, hm?” I replied with a grin.
I tightened my hand on him, so he couldn't move anywhere. He lost his balance and fell backward onto the cushion. I don’t know what came over me—but before I knew it, I was on top of him, pinning both his arms above his head against the mat.
I looked at him for a moment.
His red hair was messy. Those cotton candy lips trembled, and his crystal eyes....
He was annoyingly sexy.
“W-What are you doing!? Get off me! What if someone sees…!” he whispered, hold his own breath.
I snapped back into reality. Why I was thoughts about him like that again?
“Didn’t you accuse me of harassment this morning, hm?” I leaned my face closer until there were only a few centimeters between us. I could hear his heart skipped a beat.
“T-That’s because you were pressuring me back then…!” He looked away.
“Do you want to know what it looks like if it really happens?” I slipped my hand into his loose red shirt—my shirt actually
“W-Wait…! Stop…! Let go…!” His jaw tightened, his voice turning rough.
Panic was no longer hidden. His eyes dropped downward, toward my hand.
“Alright, alright! I’m sorry! Please, let me go!” His breathing became heavy.
“Oh…? Say it properly. I don’t like it when you sound forced.”
His hands clenched inside my grip.
“I’m sorry, Mr—”
“Caleb.”
“F-Fine, Mr. Caleb… I’m sorry for being rude and accusing you. Please…”
My grin widened. My heart pounded, as if I won the jackpot.
“I forgive you, but… you’ll still be punished…”
“W-What?” His turquoise-green eyes widened bigger than before. “Punish—ah…!” He moaned softly.
Damn, I couldn’t deny it—He triggered something inside me like an electric jolt.
“C-Caleb—ah, enough! That’s enough! Stop it!” He struggled beneath me as I bit down on his neck. “I know my mistake… I won’t do it again, so-sorry…” His voice trembled while his body was shaking.
My eyes fell to his neck, now marked with several red spots. Then I pulled away. He was gasping, looking away.
His eyes were teary. Maybe I had gone too far…?
He quickly stood up and cleaned the remaining mess without looking at me
Do I need to apologize?
“Sean, I…”
“Your order will be replaced shortly, excuse me…” He bowed quickly and left without closed the door.
“What was that! He’s not even a woman!” I cursed myself repeatedly like a mantra.
After a moment, I realized something…
“s**t, since when did I turn on!?”
