Kate woke up to the warmth of James' body beside her. She smiled, feeling content and loved. They had spent the entire night wrapped in each other's arms, their passion and connection growing stronger with every passing moment.
James stirred, his eyes fluttering open. "Good morning, beautiful," he whispered, his voice husky with sleep.
Kate's heart skipped a beat. "Good morning," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
James pulled her close, his lips brushing against her forehead. "I love you," he whispered.
Kate's heart swelled. "I love you too," she replied, her voice filled with emotion. This was the first time James said he loved her, she thought they were still experimenting, still trying to figure out their feelings and their relationship. Has it gotten to love already???
They lay there for a moment, holding each other, basking in the warmth of their love. Then James sat up, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I'm starving," he announced. "How about some breakfast?"
Kate laughed. "You're always hungry," she teased.
James grinned. "Hey, I need fuel to keep up with you," he replied, winking at her.
Kate playfully rolled her eyes. "Oh please," she said, tossing a pillow at him.
James chuckled, catching the pillow and tossing it back at her. "Hey, I'm serious," he said, his eyes sparkling with humor.
Kate smiled, feeling happy and carefree. She loved moments like these, just enjoying each other's company, without a care in the world.
James got out of bed, pulling Kate with him. "Come on, let's go make some breakfast," he said, his voice filled with excitement.
As they made their way to the kitchen, Kate couldn't help but notice the way James moved with a quiet confidence, his muscles rippling beneath his skin. She felt a flutter in her chest, remembering the way he had held her, touched her, loved her the night before.
James caught her gaze and smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "What's on your mind?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
Kate felt a blush rise to her cheeks. "Just thinking about last night," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
James' smile grew wider. "Oh yeah?" he said, his eyes sparkling with interest. "What about it?"
Kate shrugged, feeling a little shy. "Just that it was...really special," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
James' expression softened, his eyes filling with warmth. "It was special for me too," he said, his voice filled with sincerity. "I love you, Kate."
Kate's heart swelled, feeling like she was melting into his gaze. "I love you too," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's gaze, Kate knew that this was what she had been searching for her whole life. This connection, this love, this sense of belonging.
James broke the spell, his stomach growling loudly. "Okay, okay, let's eat," he said, laughing.
Kate giggled, feeling a little silly. "Yeah, let's eat," she agreed, following him to the kitchen.

Kate as a pharmaceutical student, had a program to attend to. The conference would take weeks and staying without James for weeks would be hell for her, over their lunch date she let James know about the conference she had to attend. "I'm going to miss you so much," Kate said, pouting.
James smiled. "I'll miss you too. But this conference is important for your future. You have to go."
Kate nodded. "I know. I just wish I didn't have to leave you for so long."
James took her hand. "We'll make it work. We'll Facetime every day."
Weeks went by, and Kate was busy with the conference. She called Jenny one day and asked her to do a favor. "Hey, Jenny? I need you to go to James' place and grab my underwear. I left them there after our last night together."
"Yeah, a night I helped organize " Jenny remarked, applauding herself for a job well done.
She agreed, and when she arrived at James' place, she found him standing at the door, looking handsome as ever. They stood there for a moment, transfixed, the past flames between them reigniting.
"Hey," James said finally, breaking the silence.
"Hey," Jenny replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
They stood there for a moment longer before Jenny remembered why she was there. "Oh, right. Kate's umm ....underwear."
"Right." James stepped aside, letting her in. As she grabbed the underwear, their hands touched, and they stared intensely at each other. The guilt of that day had hunted Jenny, even when she tried to play it off as some kind of overbearing feeling of wanting something that good. Past memory of their escapade flashed through her mind, as she blushed , James noticed.
"I umm ..,I know my way out " Jenny said, leaving.
A week after Kate left for the conference, James' birthday was approaching. Kate asked Jenny to help James prepare for the party, since she couldn't make it.
"Please, Jenny, I'm counting on you," Kate said over the phone.
Jenny agreed, and as she worked with James to plan the party, the tension between them grew thicker. They both knew that they had a past, and that spark was still there. To Jenny, it was a topic not worth talking about. It better linger and forever stay a lingering discussion in the dark.
The night of the party arrived, and the atmosphere was electric. James and Jenny had planned a night party, and everything was going as planned. Kate was still away, and James was feeling lonely.
As the night wore on, the party was filled with friends and well wishers under the night sky fully awoke. James, the birthday boy wasn't having any fun. If Kate was there, it would have been a blast for him but she wasn't. James sighted Jenny lap dancing with some dude, both having fun like the party was theirs and perhaps it was??
He observed as Jenny left the guy and headed for the drink fountain to probably get more drinks. And he walked up to her.
"Hey, I'm so glad you're here," James said, his eyes locked on hers.
"Yeah? I made it hot," Jenny replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Yeah, too bad kate isn't here. So, I see you're enjoying the party??." James asked judging like he meant to add "more than I am".
"Hey man, don't judge me. I didn't spoil your fun, the job I was given was to help organize your party. No one said anything about helping you enjoy it" she said sipping her drink.
"What if I ask you to help me enjoy it? Would you do it?" James asked, analyzing her expression. "That depends........., what's in it for me?" Jenny asked flirtatiously leaning towards James' ear.
Her warm breath ignited something that James hadn't felt in a long time, Jenny traced the tip of her tongue to the inner part of his ear, making sure to leave her trace like a snail leaves it's trail on its path.
James smirked loving where the night was driving at. "Try me" he said, leaning in for a kiss
