Kate felt a lump form in her throat as she looked at James. She saw something in his eyes, something that made her heart skip a beat. Being drunk really isn't doing her any good, James had made sure to bring her to her door, ensuring her safety. She brought out her keys from her purse and unlocked her door, " so am home, I had a great time tonight thanks to you" she said giving James a dry yet meaningful smile. " you deserved it " he replied, his eyes never leaving hers as if searching them for something. " I did?" Kate asked. "Yes you did" James replied still standing there, transfixed. ' how can she be drunk, her hair messy and still looks beautiful under my gaze? I may be high too' James said to himself. "James," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "What's going on between us?" James leaned in, unable to control himself. He would go mad if he didn't at least kiss those lips that had drove him crazy all night, his face inches from hers. "I don't know," he said. "But I know I want to find out." And with that, he leaned in closer, his lips brushing against hers in a soft, gentle kiss. Kate felt a rush of emotions as James' lips touched hers. It was like a spark had been ignited, and she couldn't help but respond. She kissed him back, her heart racing with excitement. As they pulled away, James smiled and took her hand. "I've wanted to do that all night," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners. Kate smiled back, feeling a sense of wonder. "I've wanted you to," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Hands entwined, looking into each other's eyes. Kate felt like she was melting into his gaze, like she was losing herself in his depths. "James," she said, her voice a little stronger now. "What does this mean? What's happening between us?" James squeezed her hand. "I don't know," he said. "But I know I don't want to stop it. I want to see where this goes, Kate. I want to explore this thing between us." Kate's heart skipped a beat. She wanted that too. She wanted to see where this journey would take them, to explore the depths of their connection. "Okay," she said, her voice firm. "Let's do it. Let's see where this goes." James grinned, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Okay," he said. "Let's do it."
