Alexis hadn’t been able to get that room out of her mind. The room where secrets seemed to be tucked away like old furniture, forgotten yet too valuable to discard. She needed to go back. Even though her thoughts were jumbled and clouded, even though her heart ached with the revelations of her father’s death, she had to try. It had been days since she left her room.
