Chapter 1 - Pilot

Namirah

“Namirah!!”

“Yes Nate?”

“Namirah where the f**k are my keys?”

“Why?”

“Because I have a date! I told you about this. So where the hell are my keys?!”

I feel the heat of the sun no longer warming my body. Opening my eyes I see my fuming brother standing in front of me.

“Nate I’m trying to tan, do you mind?”

“Do you mind telling me where my keys are I know you have them. Now hurry up she’ll be waiting for me” I roll my eyes at him.

“Why do you want to take her out on a date anyway? She’s not even one of our warriors, she’s just a stuck up Daddy’s girl who wears way too much make up, with an overwhelming dose of perfume and the IQ of a hedgehog. PLUS she’s not even your mate.”

“I haven’t found my mate yet so while I wait why not get a bit of experience in. It’s not like we’re gonna be in a relationship anyways so for the love of my sanity just give me the keys”

“Fine but don’t bring her back here” I throw the keys at him before he walks away

“The IQ of a hedgehog huh?” I hear Reign say

“Could be lower but I’ll never know since I can’t hold a conversation with someone that dumb” I reply and he laughs.

“You gotta let him bring a girl home sooner or later Mirah, who knows eventually you might even be her friend”

“I highly doubt that”

“Reign! Dude hurry up you’re my wingman and her friends waiting for you too” yells Nate

“That’s my cue, see yah later Mirah”

“Have fun”

“What you don’t even care? I mean you give Nate so much s**t but you’re telling me to have fun”

“Why would I care Reign?” I say over the rim of my glasses as I dip my head

He scoffs “whatever Mir maybe I will have fun” he says while his eyes are raking my body up and down with a smirk before walking away.

Now that he’s gone I can finally breathe! My crush on this guy is becoming ridiculous. Surely I can’t be just imagining things when I feel like he flirts with me. Maybe it’s because most of the guys in this pack are too afraid to speak to me so he and Nate are pretty much the only guys I talk to regularly. The joys of being the Alphas daughter I guess. I internally roll my eyes.

Reign has got to be the most handsome guy I’ve ever known though. All our lives he’s been handsome he didn’t even seem to go through those awkward puberty stages, he just flew straight past it and into becoming this beauty of a man. He towers over me, with a body that’s been carved by the gods themselves, tanned skin, dark hair and the most beautiful grey eyes I’ve ever seen. And on top of the looks he’s one our strongest warriors and next in line to be our Beta when Nate becomes Alpha. Sometimes he’s a bit thick in the head but I think it’s cute. I can only hope that the Moon Goddess blesses me with a mate just like him.
