“Why are you here, Noah?” Elijah asked, he was seated at the diner with us, acting like the overprotective elder brother.
“I came to see Eva.”
“We have something to talk about.” Noah shifted his gaze to me. “She’s the one I came to see,”
“You should have requested a formal meeting.”
“I did.”
“No, you just came here, what if she didn’t want to see you?”
Noah rubbed his jaw and chuckled. “I doubt she will want to see me.”
“And there’s something I need to know.”
“Do you have doubts ?” Elijah asked.
I know he was trying to prevent what happened the first time, from happening again, but I could handle Noah.
“What doubts could you have when she has been arranged for you?”
“I need to be sure she’s a good fit for me, don’t you think, Elijah?”
