I resume to the Riverwood Pack as Luna. However, I couldn't shake off the thought of seeing Sam, what was he doing there? I asked rhetorically.
He could have been invited, he's also an Alpha.
News flew of me being Luna and they're were positive remarks and many negative ones. The pack weren't too happy having me, an omega as their leader.
“Hey Luna, what are you doing?” Maya said. She had become my best friend ever since. I found out from her that She's Ray's sister and he never joked with his sister
“This and that, nothing much” I adjusted myself to face her.
“So tell me about Riley” she raised both brows
“Tell you what?” I asked, not knowing what she meant.
“You know, how has he been treating you lately”
“Oh, I guess he's alright”
“Alright?” she dramatically said
“Yeah…”
“Where are the marks? That's what I mean” she said sassily.
“Oh” I caressed my neck.
“Well we haven't really…”
“You guys haven't gotten to that stage. What have you been doing, girl”
“He's been busy with work and running the pack so I didn't want to bother him” I said,
“Okay, take your time but don't be too late, you know men” she said giggling
“Do you want to ride a horse?”
“ I can't ride a horse” I said
“Say no more” she dragged me out of my bed where I laid, and we both ran to the back house where the house style was. Across it was a big open field where the horses were being rode. Riley and Janice were riding on a white horse. I stared at him, mesmerised by his physique and how well he handled the creature.
“Here, this is Stacy” Maya handed me a black horse.
“You'll love her, I promise” with no words, I climbed it's back and steady myself.
Maya climbed hers and we both rode to the field. The horse was giddy and almost made me Trip, but I maintained my balance.
It took a few more steps before it stared jumping controllably, I suddenly lose control and I found myself flying from the horse the bare grass.
I groaned and Got up.
“Are you okay?” Maya said, still on her horse.
“Yeah”
Janice and Riley came forward too. I noticed that Janice was trying to subdue her laugh.
“Get up I'll teach you” Riley said
“Okay, but how…” he didn't let me finish before lifting me up to his horse, I sat at his front while he was at my back, his hands slipped into my waist before holding the ropes attached to the horse.
“This is how to ride a horse” he lectured and I listened carefully. The lecture continued for about thirty minutes before Ray interrupted.
“Riley, we have some guests. Not the usual ones” he said seriously and I noticed his clenched teeth.
“I'll be there, just a moment” he freed himself before jumping off the horse leaving me.
“It's from the woodside pack.” Ray said.
Woodside? Sam…
“Keep practising, I'll be with you soon” he patted the horse.
“Can I come with you” I suggested
“No this isn't meant for you” he said
“Well since I'm Luna now, I should also be part of it, no?” I said, he glared at me
“You're not coming with me”” he said firmly.
Turning to leave
Janice followed him and soon they were out of sight.
I jumped down and followed them. I heard Maya calling my name but I ignored her.
What's Sam doing here?
I went into the mansion and searched for them. However I saw a door, off limits was boldly written on it. I placed my ears at the door to hear something. I heard someone talking but I couldn't make out what they were saying. With no thought I pushed the door open.
Janice, Riley, Ray and Sam all turned to me.
“What are you doing here?” Riley spoke first
“I said this isn't your business, stay out of it” he continued.
“Sam, what do you want?” I said to Sam
He looked surprised but quickly changed his expression.
“I just have a request” he said solemnly.
My eyes never left his, and neither did he.
“I told you to stay put” Riley cornered me and spoke.
“Why is he here?” I quizzed
“Again, none of your concern. Go back and continue with the practice”
“I'm not going. You aren't my mom, so I don't have to listen to you” I could have sworn his eyes flashed a bright gold colour before returning back to normal.
“I'm the Alpha of this pack, and whatever I say goes” he growled clearly pissed.
He signaled a man to take me away but I refused.
“I promise I won't cause any trouble, I just want to know why he's here” I pleaded, I placed my hands on his shirt and he slowly looked at his shirt. I took it off immediately and coughed.
“Why? Do you know him?”
“He's my Mate” his eyes bewildered. Question filled his eyes and I answered them
“But he rejected me. I don't..I can't tell why, but I have this strange feeling that he's up to no good” I said. Riley scratched his head then turned to enter the Room, letting me in.
Sam sat with someone I think his Beta. Immediately our eyes met he smiled.
“you came back”
“What do you want, Sam?” Riley spoke. His aura spoke of dominance so that I was actually scared.
