Toben Garrett sat back in the chair and stretched out his legs. He waited for Shen Lei to come into the room. The door opened and closed again. He sat up straight in his chair and braced himself for that silent stare he’d surely get for messing things up at Emerald Lake. Shen Lei took his place behind the ornate wooden desk.
