Wenner sat on the couch staring at the damaged panelled drapes on the living room window. It was the beginning of July, and the hospital had released him the previous day.
“Now isn’t that a pathetic looking window covering. I’ll go online and order a replacement. They have some new wider panels that would look much more modern.”
“Would you like me to take them down and get rid of them?” Chelsea asked
“Nuh-uh. As bad as they look with missing and bent panels, the southern afternoon sun is wicked in here without draperies. They can stay up until the new ones arrive.”
