I shifted and grabbed six warriors to go with me to meet Diedre at the end of the road. I knew she wouldn’t be there for another hour or so but I was anxious about her getting to the road safely. We’ve already had an ambush on the neutral territory outside of my packlands. I didn’t want another.
Kevin followed me out, already in battlefield General mode. “I’ve mindlinked Dr. Mack. I’ll get him over to take care of Lexi and Caleb and to check out the other two. I’m sending out a couple extra patrols. Link me if you need anything. I will have another team ready to go if needed.”
I didn’t say anything. I knew he would take care of what needed to be taken care of and I headed out of our Packlands to meet up with Diedre.
