We erupted in cheers when Kevin said yes. I was so happy for him. I knew that he had been really sad since Ella had died and Emily is just what Kevin needs to get out of his funk.
“Can we get back to business?” Kevin asked with a ghost of a smile on his lips.
“Sure,” Diedre said, standing up and opening up a cabinet, revealing a liquor collection. “I think Tequila shots to celebrate?”
“What are we celebrating?” Matt came into the office, wide grin at seeing all of us so exuberant.
“Kevin’s a dad!” I yelled, causing everyone to laugh.
We toasted Kevin’s new role and then I turned to Matt, becoming serious. “Recognize anyone?”
“Yeah, actually, I did. There are two rogues I recognize. Couldn’t tell you their names but I knew them from Yeren Enterprises.”
