I didn’t really know what the big deal was with Luke and Kevin being all concerned about the things I knew about people. Everyone had secrets and I seriously couldn’t think of one that was worth killing someone over. And, people keep trying to kidnap me, not kill me, so that shoots that theory in the butt. I was trying to explain it to the guys but they kept asking me questions about secrets that concerned diplomats or France or diplomatic families from France. It was exhausting.
Fortunately Diedre interrupted. “Alpha, Beta. I have a few things to report. First, the road is open.”
Luke smiled at that. “Good. People were starting to grumble about that. We need to figure out a proper way to thank the Warriors who worked on that road.”
