After Luke dumped me on the bed and left, I decided to give him a moment before following him. We just needed to talk. He needed to calm down a little, and honestly, so did I.
I could hear him talking to Kevin and Diedre in the next room, their voices so muffled that I couldn’t make out the words but I could hear the tone and knew they were trying to reason with Luke. My heart swelled. I was glad to have friends.
I decided to go and join them. Even if Luke wasn’t calmer, I was.
I went to the door and tried to open it. I tugged vainly at the door for a moment before the realization hit me. He had locked me in!
I stepped back, breathing hard and trying to calm myself. He would come and let me out, surely. Surely he didn’t intend to keep me locked in here.
