LUKE POV When Lexi stormed out of my office I fought the urge to go after her, sweep her in my arms and force her to stay with me. I knew that wasn’t the right way to do things but, damn, I really was getting tired of being patient. I noticed she left her notebook on my desk and a smile played on my lips. She would be back. I underestimated the stubbornness of that woman. I watched from the window as she drove off, not looking back.
