I stood out in the hall for a moment, feeling her gaze on me. I slowly turned to face her and watched as she examined my facial expression, trying to figure out what I was thinking. “Come, let’s go somewhere more private,” I called as I turned and walked to the end of the hall. She quickly followed after, her face still a mix of confusion and analysis. It was fun watching her put the pieces together, but it’s hard to complete a puzzle without all the pieces.
