✨Ashley’s apartment*
Ashley sits on her couch, staring blankly at her laptop screen. She's been trying to work on her fashion designs, but her mind keeps wandering back to her conversation with Rachel. She can't shake off the feeling of uncertainty and self-doubt that's been plaguing her.
As she scrolls through her social media feed, she sees posts from her friends and acquaintances, showcasing their successes and accomplishments. She can't help but feel like she's falling behind, like she's stuck in a rut.
Ashley gets up and walks over to her closet, staring at her designs, which are now seeming dull and unoriginal to her. She feels like she's lost her creative spark, like she's just going through the motions.
Just then, her phone rings. It's Rachel. Ashley hesitates for a moment
(sighing) Rachel, I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I'm not getting anywhere with my fashion designs, and now I'm even doubting my ability to get a job.
Ash, you're being too hard on yourself! You're an amazing designer, and you graduated with great grades. You have so much potential!
"Potential, yeah right. I've applied and nothing's happening. And now, I'm even doubting my ability to keep up with my own fashion business".
Ashley, listen to me. Everything is possible if you believe in yourself. And I believe in you! You're smart, talented, and determined. And don't forget, my babra’s brother can help you out with that job interview at Blackwood's. He'll put in a good word for you, and with your skills and grades, you'll nail it!
I don't know, Rachel...I don't want to rely on your or your friends influence. I want to do it on my own.
(laughing) Ash, you're not relying on anyone! You're just using your connections to get a foot in the door. And once you're in, you'll show them what you're made of! And who knows, before you know it, you'll be saving up enough money to sustain your fashion business again.
You really think so, Rachel?
I know so, Ash! You just need to believe in yourself as much as I believe in you!
“Thank you so much rach but I have to go now talk to you later?” Yh sure Rachel replied bye!
“I just need to belief everything will work out well" Ashley said to herself, as she continued to scroll through her laptop trying to create more design and seeking for sponsors online she couldn’t help but feel super exhausted
Vrrrrr Ashley felt her phone vibrate she’d gotten an email inviting her for a job interview at one of the company she applied at, omg, her stomach sunk in she didn’t know exactly how she felt it was definitely not a happy feeling but, she felt relieved knowing she was at least making progress in trying to get a job.
“Let’s see what incredible outfit I can make out for tomorrow” she thought to herself as she stood up searching through her stuff.
✨Julian’s office*
Julian's office was a hub of activity, files and papers scattered across his desk as he worked tirelessly. Emily entered, her usual bright smile replaced by a tired expression. Julian's observant eyes noticed the dark circles under her eyes, the slight slump in her shoulders. He knew she was trying to hide it, but he could see past her mask.
"Emily, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice firm but gentle.
Emily attempted to brush it off. "Nothing, Julian. Just a bit tired, that's all."
Julian's gaze pierced through her defenses. "Don't lie to me, Emily. I can see it. You're stressed.Take the day off."
Emily's eyes widened, a mix of surprise and gratitude. "But, Julian, I can't—"
Julian held up a hand. "I mean it, Emily. You're no good to me if you're burnt out. Go home, rest, and come back tomorrow."
As Emily nodded and turned to leave, Julian picked up the phone and dialed a number. "Recruitment department, Julian Blackwood here. I need you to invite only seven candidates for an interview tomorrow. Make sure they're the best of the best. I want to see who's worthy of joining our team."
With that, he hung up the phone, his eyes never leaving Emily's retreating figure. He knew she was a gem, and he wanted to make sure she was taken care of. The workload was too much for her, but he couldn't deny her competence and dedication. And he trusted her implicitly, knowing she wasn't trying to manipulate or deceive him like so many others.
In his thoughts " they better find someone just as competent". ✨
