Julian stepped out of his sleek black car and onto the company's premises, his presence commanding attention. His tall, imposing frame and chiseled features seemed to mesmerize everyone in sight, as if they were seeing him for the first time. His piercing blue eyes scanned the surroundings, his sharp jawline set in a determined expression. As he strode towards the building, his long strides devoured the distance. The glass doors slid open with a soft whoosh, and he entered the lobby, his eyes fixed on the elevators. The receptionist's gaze followed him, her eyes wide with admiration. The elevator doors opened, and Julian stepped in, his eyes never leaving the floor indicators. He was a man on a mission, and his focus was unwavering. The soft hum of the elevator filled the air as he ascended to the top floor, where his office and the boardroom were located. Emily, his cousin and secretary, was already waiting outside his office, her eyes fixed on her tablet. She was a young woman in her early twenties, with long blonde hair and a bright smile. "Good morning, Julian," she said, her voice cheerful and professional. "Your schedule for today includes a meeting with the marketing team at 10 a.m., a conference call with the Tokyo office at 11 a.m., and a lunch meeting with the CEO of Smith & Co. at 1 p.m." Julian listened intently, his eyes never leaving hers. "Thank you, Emily. See to it that the marketing team has all the necessary materials. And cancel the conference call. I'll handle it via email." Emily nodded, her eyes dropping to her tablet. "Yes, Julian. I've also prepared the quarterly reports and the acquisition proposals for your review." As she handed him the files, Julian's phone rang. He answered, his voice firm and authoritative. "Blackwood." After a brief conversation, he hung up and turned to Emily, his eyes expectant. "The representative from Smith & Co. has arrived. They're waiting in the boardroom with the board members." Emily nodded and quickly gathered the necessary files. "I'll make sure everything is in order, Julian. Shall I escort them to the boardroom?" Julian nodded, his eyes already scanning the documents in his hand. "Yes, please do. And Emily?" "Yes, Julian?" "See to it that the coffee is freshly brewed. I want everything perfect for this meeting." Emily smiled to herself as she walked ahead of Julian towards the boardroom. She was used to his demanding nature, but she admired his drive and determination. As she opened the door, she couldn't help but think to herself, “ how perfect can Julian get I hope I find myself with physical attributes like his." But her thoughts were quickly interrupted when Julian turned to her, his eyes expectant, waiting for her to open the door. The boardroom fell silent as Julian entered, his commanding presence drawing all eyes to him. The representative from Smith & Co., a middle-aged man with a nervous smile, stood up from his seat, extending a hand in greeting. "Julian, good to see you again," he said, his voice firm but betraying a hint of unease. Julian ignored the outstretched hand, his eyes fixed intently on the man's face as he took his seat at the head of the table. The representative, taken aback by the snub, hesitated for a moment before launching into his pitch. "Julian, as you know, our companies have been in negotiations for a potential partnership. We believe our synergy could lead to significant growth and profits for both parties. The stake of the contract is substantial, and we're willing to offer a generous share to Blackwood Enterprises..." The representative continued speaking, outlining the details of the proposed deal, but Julian remained silent, his eyes never leaving the man's face. He was searching for any sign of deception, any flicker of insincerity in his eyes. The man's words were smooth, polished, but Julian was not interested in words; he was interested in intentions. As the representative finished speaking, Julian nodded once, curtly, and turned to one of the board members, a bespectacled man with a laptop open in front of him. "Prepare a presentation for our next meeting," Julian said, his voice low and even. "I want to see projections, market analysis, and a detailed breakdown of the proposed partnership. I want it on my desk by tomorrow morning." With that, Julian stood up, his eyes still fixed on the representative, and walked towards him. The representative, sensing a dismissal, began to stand up, but Julian's hand came down on his shoulder, his grip firm but not crushing. "We'll be in touch," Julian said, his voice low and even, his eyes boring into the representative's. Then, with a nod, Julian turned and walked out of the boardroom, leaving the stunned man and the board members in his wake. The silence that followed was oppressive, heavy with the weight of Julian's unspoken expectations.✨
