When Amber wakes me I notice we are still in wolf form. Amber said its best to stay in wolf form since we can protect ourselves better. I let amber take over as she starts hunting for breakfast. I didnt realize I was this hungry. I let myself go to the back of our mind like she taught me and just let her do her thing. After hunting and eating Amber brings us over to the creek that runs through the forest to get a drink. That's when I notice my eyes, they're glowing gold, that's what Gina meant when she called me a freak. They're so beautiful and I can see the power and strength they hold. Since shifting last night I can feel my body pain from the beatings isn't as bad. "What are we supposed to do now Amber?" I ask. "Well I think we should start by looking for more of our own kind and I know just the place to start" she tells me. "Where?" I ask. "We are going to start looking 80 miles north of town in the area you were found. Once we get there I can start to search the area and see if I can scent any other wolves." She said as she takes off running with my backpack in her mouth. After running for about 3 hours we finally reach the area I was found. Once Amber starts to search around we immediately catch the scent of other wolves. Once we find out the direction the scent is coming from amber takes off like a rocket. I’ve never ran this fast in my entire life and I can feel the wind blowing through my fur as Amber weaves between trees. After another two hours of running we finally paused to take a break and get a drink from a nearby lake. After resting for awhile I start running further into the forest pumping my legs as hard as I can. I love this feeling of freedom and I can't wait to find more people like me. I hope they can help me find my family. As the scent is getting stronger I can feel we're getting closer. That's when I hear several growls chasing after me. Out of fear I begin pumping my legs harder running from them until I feel myself tiring out. "I'm sorry sweetie, shifting for the first time and running all the way here has really tired us out, I'm not sure we can go much longer" Amber tells me. "What if they want to hurt us? I'm scared now" I tell her. We start slowing down more and more when the group of wolves catches up to us and pounces on us. I'm so afraid I don't want to let them take me or kill me, I just wanted to find my family. I'm surrounded by 6 wolves when a dark brown wolf shifts into a tall man with dark brown hair and blue eyes. They stare at me with coldness as he demands I shift back. I start the slow painful process of shifting back into my human form. After a few agonizing minutes I'm laying on the forest floor naked and curled up to hide my body from them. A reddish brown wolf shifts into a man with red hair and green eyes like mine next. I can feel power radiating from the two men standing near me. I swear the green eyed man looks just like me! Amber notices him too. "I feel connected to that wolf somehow" she tells me. "I feel it too, he looks like me too" I tell her. "Who are you? Why did you come here?" The man with the blue eyes sternly asks me. I peer up at him and look him dead in the eyes and tell him "I'm just looking for my family. I was abandoned in the human world at birth" I truthfully tell the blue eyed man. "You're coming with us, the alpha doesn't allow rouges on pack lands. He'll want to ask you a few questions" said the blue eyed man. He gives me a t-shirt to wear. As I slip it on I notices my bruises are still there even though they don't look nearly as bad as they did yesterday. I make a note to ask Amber about it later since I felt her pass out from exhaustion. I guess I'm on my way to go see the alpha. As the two men guide me further into the forest we reach the outskirts of what looks like a small town, they lead me to a small building. As the blue eyed man opens the door I see stairs leading down into the dark and I feel terrified. I look to him and ask him "where are we going?" "To the dungeon, thats where we hold rouges" he says as he tightly grabs my arms and begins dragging me down the steps into the dark dungeon. I'm shaking with fear as we descend the steps and with my wolf passed out I'm all alone. As I'm thrown into a cell the men chain my ankles to the wall and that's when I feel the intense searing of the metal. Amber warned me that silver burns our flesh and Wolfsbane makes us sick and can kill us when ingested in large amounts. These men shackled me to a wall with silver chains when I hadn't done anything but run in fear. The man who looks like me stared at me with sympathy in his eyes as I sink down to the floor and start shaking with tears in my eyes. I knew I was right to be scared. They're going to kill me I know it. They lock the cell door and climb the steps and leave the dungeon. After crying for several hours my wolf finally wakes up. "Amber are you okay? I'm so happy you're awake" I sob. "Yes I'm okay, just trying to conserve my strength. Everything is going to be okay" she says faintly. For some reason I can feel that she believes we will be okay. I wait a long time for the Alpha to come but he doesn't so I fall asleep. As I sleep I dream of finding a family and running together through the forest. My pleasant dreams soon end as I'm woken up by a loud banging. It sounds like the doors leading back outside have been slammed shut. As I listen harder I hear men talking. When they come down the steps I hear a voice that sounds like the blue eyed man "Yes Alpha, the she wolf is in the last cell" he says. Then I hear footsteps coming closer and I start to smell the most heavenly scent. It smells like a freshly rained in forest, I can smell the wet soil, the raindrops falling from the sky, and the pine from pine trees swaying in the wind. It's the most incredible thing ever.
ALPHAS POV
As I'm walking towards the cell holding the Rouge she wolf I smell the most incredible thing. It's Lavender and honey with a hint of mint. It's the most intoxicating thing I've ever smelled. As I get closer I peer into the cell at the she wolf. My wolf Obsidian is begging to see her face. Almost as if she knew what I wanted she looks up and as our eyes make contact I hear my wolf screaming 'Mate'. I stare into her big beautiful green eyes and growl "mate". When she hears my claim her green eyes go wide with shock and fear.
