Chapter 3

The next morning I awoke to movement on my bed I heard someone yell,"BEEF STEW!" as they farted in my face. ugh I hate it here!, you would think thos was a sibling...no...this is Kanes idea of having fun.

After finally being able to breath again, I get myself ready for school,Same routine as the day before, only this time I qm not a blubering mess when I arrive at James' house. "Ready to go babe?" I ask Cheerfuly as he exists his house. " obviously" He Replied sarcastically. " Oh right" my mood dimmed slightly, but when he held my hand it lightened back up again. "So, found job yet?" James asked, not looking at me, but straight ahead. "I aplied for a teaching job, um a swimming instructor, I haven't heard back yet, but yeah,I am hoping to get that one." I smile at him happy he asked. " Well don't get your hopes up ok. I mean you don't have experience with teaching and you are not great at swimming yourself,how are you going to teach a bunch of kids how to swim?"I went quiet. I thought I was pretty good at it. guess I was wrong, as part usual. "yeah you are right" I looked down at the ground, heart heavy again.We arrived at the school gate and he once again dropped my hand and we went our seperate ways.

I went to go and find Mikey when I saw Britney bound up to James,I watched as her arms flung around his waist and she cuddled into him, and he hugged her back, kissing her on the top of her head.She is so pretty, she has forest green eyes, beautiful red hair bigger boobs than me and cute dimples on her cheeks wjen she smiles I looked away My heart hurt, but I was sure I was probably reading to much into it, I needed a distraction,and fast.

Sute enough I found my distraction, not a welcomed one. Someone pushed me to the ground, and I landed grazing my knees, my head hit the concrete hard, I sat up to see Kat, laughing at me, Terry had a look of concern on his face.Kat grabbed his arm to stop him from helping me. " stay out of my way loser, come on babe" she tugged on Terrys arm but he didn't move. "Kat let go, she is bleeding" He didn't take his eyes off of me. "and? so what? she deserved it, she was in the way" Kat was very amused by his reaction. "I'm fine, go with your girlfriend, I will be fine" I stumbled to my feet, feeling dizzy and nausous. s**t a concussion. Just then a pair of hands grabbed me staedy. "Woah Jules, I am taking you to sick bay. come on. I WILL DEAL WITH YOU TWO LATER!" Ahh Mikey to the rescue. "I am fine I don't need the nurse" I lie. "Bullshit, you are clearly concust, probably need stitches and you are pale. "She argued. " no they will send me home, i cant go home" I argued back. "and why not? you need a hospital Jules" I looked up at her fighting the urge to spew every where."Home is not safe"She looked at me confussion on her face. "what do you mean its not safe?" she asked Kane is mean" my words came out slurred. well s**t. "umm I am definetly taking you to the nurse." noo, I dont wanna goo!" My words are still slurred. "Here let me carry her, she looks like she will colapse any moment." I heard a males voice but couldnt pick who it was,my vision started to go dark,and there was a high pitched buzzing in my ears. and then I was out.

I woke up to a sound of beeping monitors, my mum sat in the chair next to me and Mikey was asleep on a chair infront of me.

hospital, s**t, Mum was going to pay for this later.I felt the guilt wrap around me, like a snake. He was going to hurt mum for being here. I swalllowed the hard lump in my dry throat. "Mum?" I croak out.She lifted her head and grabbed my hand. "Hey,its ok Sweetie, i'm here." Mikey woke up and handed me a cup of water. I took the water, drinking greedily. "how long was I out for?" Mum sighed. "Five years" Mikey Answered. Mum glared at her. "Two days, that little b***h is lucky I am not allowed to hit a minor." Mum growled.I smiled at her." Its ok Mum, we can handle it, don't worry." Mum shook her head." I have already spoken to the school, She has been suspended for a week. should be longer if you ask me but,at least its something." I nodded. " I am tired. i'm going to go back to sleep for a bit."Mum nodded. "ok hun, I have to call Aunt Sarah and check in on the kids.Mikey come and get some coffee"

I woke up the next morning, feeling much better, I asked Mum and Mikey to get me a coffee and maybe somehot cakes from maccas. I am hungry but don't particularly want the hospital food. The nurse came in and took my OBS then left again. I pulled out my phone. There were alot of texts unread.

James: where are you? you are late!

James: Ok I am leaving for school don't bother coming to pick me up!

James: Can't wait up for me now? what? you are too good for me?

James:Answer me!!

I stopped reading the texts and answered.

Me: I am so sorry. I ended up in hospital with a terrible concusion, I was unconsious for two days. I love you.

two hours went by without a reply. I had eaten breakfast and getting discharged when my phone dinged.

James: if you really loved me you would have snapped out of it and sent me a text to tell me! you lying b***h!

what? I sat there for a hot minute trying to wrap my head around it. what the?

A text message from an unknown number came through.

Unknown: I am glad you are ok Baby. I miss you.

My brain hurts, I just want to go home. no wait.I don't know what I want,or what to do. I let out a heavy sigh, grabbed my stuff and headed out the door of the hospital.
