Jules

The last two days has been peaceful at school. No Terry. But I also hadn't heard from T either. I sent him a couple of messages, but didn't want to be over bearing or annoying. don't get me wrong, I am worried sick. I have had my phone confiscated twice because I was checking it every two seconds.

"Jules Im sure T is fine." Mikey said taking me out of my trance. " ok, but did I do something wrong? does he hate me? "worry was really hitting me. like all of the worries. "Nah, I'm sure he just got held up." I looked at her" for two days? wait?" I stopped dead in my tracks as did she. "what?"She asked. "T has been absent for two days..." she nodded at me, and puzzled expression on her face" And Terry has been gone for two days...I am going to test something." I said this slowly. Mikeys face turned to shock. " wait...you think? oh my gods you might be onto something." when Terry gets back I am going to keep a close eye on him.

After the last bell rang, I went to the office and patiently waited for Mrs Smith to come in and hand me my phone back with a warning. I just hoped T would message me or call me soon, having no phone on me made me so nervous.

I held my breath as I turned on my phone. It felt like it was taking forever. then, finally my phone turned on and I released my breath as twenty texts messages from a frantic T came through my phone and ten missed calls. I looked over at Mikey. "should I let him freak out a bit longer or should I answer ?" She laughed "Jules its your call, bit I person vote for letting him stew." I smiled and wiggled my eyebrows at her." "That makes two votes then."

I had an earlier shift today at work, so I put my phone on silent and headed straight over there. got into my swimmers and work shirt and got into the pool. I only had two kiddos in this class, it was a level one and they were adorable. "Miss Jules!" They yelled with excitement. "Hi girls, how was daycare today? oh my goodness did you do a painting? " I asked them. The girls giggled "it was good, we got to see some duckies today and I named one of them Jules be ause it can swim and so can you!" blurts out Amy. "oh wow, ducks are pretty cool Amy, and I love the name you gave the duck." Amy bounced up and down. " well, well, well at MY daycare we saw a fire truck and got to sit in it! " Hazel said. "Oh my goodness that sounds like you had a good day too huh?" I say to her " uh huh and I painted the fire truck too!" Hazel added on. I had a feeling you might have, I say to her smiling and book her on the nose where red and blue dried paint had been smeared. " ok let's get swimming.I grab the noodle and instruct them to rest it under their arms, use their hands to paddle, splash me with their toes and reminded them to blow their bubbles in the water. Once my shift was over, I packed up and reset the pool, got changed and started to walk home. I pulled my phone out of my bag and took it off silent. three more missed calls.I think I let him stew enough now. I called him back. "Don't go back home!" T said frantically. I stopped dead in my tracks. " Well Hi to you too I guess, glad your alive at least!" Im not going to lie, I am pretty angry with him at the moment. " I know Im sorry, I will explain everything to you soon, where are you?" my heart started racing a little. "Just left work, I am ar the end of the drive way." Now I am starting to panic." get back inside and wait for me there, I am five minutes away can you do that?" I looked behind me, reception hasn't left and there are still some families inside getting their kids dried and dressed. " Umm ok. I will see you soon i guess" I say. "good thankyou Baby see you soon" He hung up the phone. I turned around and went back inside the building. dread pooling in the pit of my stomach.

five minutes later I hear his bike coming up the drive way. I put my helmet on and he rode away with me on his back. We were headed to an area i didn't recognise. He pulled up at a beautiful house and he unmounted his bike, offered me his hand and helped me down too. I took off my helmet, and eyed the house. "Where are we? and why are we here?" I asked cautiously." your step dad got out earlier then he should have. I just got wind of of it this morning" he took me around the side where mums car was parked. " why did not one tell me?" I asked, panic rising in my chest. " I tried, you didn't answer your phone, and your mum was to busy packing everyone up and moving into her brand new house." I fell silent. He had a point there. We walked up the stairs and into the house. Mum was unpacking the boxes. " oh thank goodness you are safe!" I looked around the kids were already in bed. " Im glad you are safe too." O gave her a massive hug. "I am going to go and unpack my stuff too, and this one can tell me a few things whilst I get set up. " I say grabbing his hand and dragging him away. "Don't get too mad at him honey" Mum said as we started walking off.

I walked around the house a few times. it had a cute little kitchen, four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two loungerooms. each bedroom. had a kid in it. I walked off leaving T just standing there. " Mum, where is my stuff and where is my room? is there an extra room out the back or something?" She looked over at T. "oh you are not staying here honey." confusion must have been written all over my face because mum was cackling."T the poor girl is going to have an anyrusim, just tell her already." T turned me to face him. You have your own place...across the road. I wanted to wait but given the circumstances, well..." He pulled out a set of keys. " Happy Birthday?" He said. I was too stunned to speak. too stunned to talk. I stood there like an i***t gaping at him. " I will see you tomorrow Mum" T called back as he scooped me up bridal style and walked me across the road. I wish I could see the house. but it was just to dark. He put me down on the porch and I instantly smelt the aroma of roses. I instantly relaxed. "T I can't accept this,its too much, and after you ghosted me I ..." he put his finger upto my lips to quieten me. " I didn't mean to. I am so sorry. how about you go inside, have a look around, I will make you some dinner and a cuppa , and I will tell you what happened." I nodded, far too tired to do anything else. I unlocked the door, and what I saw on entry made me gasp! it was stunning.
