It Wasn’t Supposed To Be Like This

Chapter 3

*this chapter will be fully in Xaviers point of view*

“Xavier,” my father said to me snapping me out of my thoughts,

”we need to know what you’re wanting to do about the rogues running rampant here in Florida, we can only cover up the human murders for so long,” I have only just now taken over the Blue Horizon pack and we are already having issues. “Where have they been attacking?” He sighs, I know his answer isn’t going to make me happy,

”they started attacking in Sunset Valley, they are slowly making their way closer to Camden High, I don’t know who or what but they are after something in that area.” I growl knowing my mate, my perfect little Luna lives over that way, I’ve checked in on her periodically but I don’t stay long enough for her to notice, I don’t want to creep her out and I have no clue why she’s acting like she has no idea who or what I am. Every time I’m near her she intoxicates me, I can’t breath all I smell is her beautiful vanilla and sugar plum smell. Snapping back to my senses

“We will increase patrol in those areas, but we can’t make it known to the humans so make sure they disguise themselves as normal people, if that is all, I have to get going, school starts shortly.” I hear my dad snort behind me,

”I don’t know why you’re going back to school you’re twenty years old..” before he could finish I walked out the door. I didn’t have time to listen to him, and I know he would understand the mate bond is strong and I have to be with her or at least near her.

“Lucas I need you to drive me to school.” Looking at one of my guards he nods and we get in the car.we had about an hour drive from the pack house to the school, which I didn’t mind because it was all worth it to see her and smell her, her red curly hair that was always unruly and those intoxicating blue eyes and her pale ivory skin. I never knew someone could be so beautiful, I don’t even know her name yet, but I know I love her.

“Mate” i hear my wolf Isaac whimper in my head, I know buddy me too. I stare out the window the rest of the drive, once we arrive at the school Lucas drops me off at the side because we don’t want to draw to much attention to me having a personal chauffeur. I walk into the doors and I see her standing there looking as beautiful as ever, her smell immediately filling my lungs, I have to talk to her today, I take a deep breath and make my way towards her, I start feeling clammy almost instantly I don’t know why she makes me so nervous. I take one more deep breath and I step in front of her.

”Hey, I don’t think we’ve had time to properly introduce ourselves, my names Xavier.” I say as calmly as I can. She looks up at me and smiles nervously her big blue eyes staring straight into mine, I want to take her here and now but I have to remain calm.

”not unless you let me take over” I hear Isaac growl in my head. “Oh hey um, I’m Avery.” Avery I cannot wait to moan her name,

“well Avery I know we only just met but I was wondering if you’d like to have dinner sometime?” I have to get out of here soon, her smell was making it hard to stand still and I was slowly start to feel myself harden against my jeans and Isaac was starting to howl in my head,

”uh actually I have a birthday party tomorrow, I’m sorry but maybe you could come?” Why would she invite me to a party that isn’t hers?

“Well I wouldn’t want to intrude on someone else’s party, she just giggles at me that sound was like music to my ears.

”Actually it’s my party, I turn 18 tomorrow!” She said gleaming with joy, now it all makes sense why she wasn’t feeling the mate bond the way I was, but i wasn’t going to push.

”Oh well then yeah that sounds cool, are you sure it’ll be alright?” I ask remembering the guy who was sending death glares at me the night I kissed her. She nodded her head assuring me I was okay to go to her party, I hoped she was right I didn’t want any drama.
