Chapter 21 Vin looked up from his textbooks as Beau opened the door. He was studying, by which Vin meant pretending to look at his notes and drawing elaborate illuminations in colored pens around the margins. How he hadn’t flunked out of his classes yet, Beau hadn’t quite figured out. He certainly couldn’t sell his books back to the campus bookstore in that condition.
