Chapter 15 The air outside the airport was unseasonably warm, even for California. Beau slowly peeled out of his sweater, gritting his jaw. His ribs were still tender, but he thought if he had to tolerate any more of Vin’s concerned solicitousness, he might have to strangle someone. “You two stay right here,” David dictated. “I’ll get the car and come ‘round.” “You feel like we’ll ever be allowed to be adults someday?” Vin queried, pulling out a ridiculously oversized pair of sunglasses. “I’m sure it’s overrated,” Beau said.
