Chapter 10
Sam Capone called Vicente and told him that Ryan needed his instructions. Sam handed his phone to Ryan and sat beside him on the couch, watching his reactions to Vicente's words.
"Vicente, I cannot lure an innocent person to get harmed," Ryan asserted. "I have tried holding back on all of my questions—and there are so many—but I don't want to be silent anymore. Can I please speak to you freely?"
"No," Vicente answered.
"No?"
"Zachary is not an innocent person and you are not luring him to be attacked or killed. I insist you trust me on this."
"I want to trust you," Ryan replied. "I have no reason not to. But Sam has a blowgun and it's clearly professional grade and lethal."
"I am going to keep this simple, Ryan. The simpler, the better. Lure Zachary to the condo.
