Ryan Jayden was stationed on the western edge of the estate compound, near a steep slope in the shadows of the late afternoon sun, when he spotted two SUVs being waived onto the driveway. He watched Catalina and other family members grant a hero's welcome to Vicente as he climbed out of one of the vehicles with a bandaged head. Vicente lifted his sister into the air, hugging and spinning her. Among the bodyguards emerging from the SUVs were Damian and Sam, along with several Ryan had not seen before, and Nina, the physical trainer, who cheered and ran toward Catalina, too.
