Aurora felt nauseous thinking about Sebastian’s threat. She knew it was a threat. Everybody in the room felt uneasy with how Sebastian expressed his intent to teach his bride a lesson once he retrieves her. No one believed in his pretentious jest about taking one of the ladies in the party that night as his wife. Clearly, he was intent on getting his betrothed back.
If only he knew that what he was looking for was just standing in front of him. Aurora could only imagine the commotion that could possibly rupture if he knew that the man he was asking for aid for finding his missing betrothed was the same mine that was protecting her from him.
She was indeed in a bit of a complication.
